That sounds bad. That's why I always prefer to go with small web hosting companies.

I've been sitting here for the past hour wondering .. This sucks, I have all of my sites through them.
If I SSH into the server directly, I'm fine. Same with the website. But if I try to access any of my sites directly, no go.
What's funny is they have their server status set as normal ......

Such thing is not really expected from such a big host but glad they fixed everything up quick and are back now.
They should provide some kind of compensation to the customers when they are unable to keep their 99.99% uptime guarantee.

Godaddy hosting is worst than Bluehost and hostgator. You will be happy until you start getting problems. Then it will turn into a nightmare...

They did not fix everything and it's not all back up.
Their live chat isn't working either.

I'm going to give them a call and if they provide any actual explanation/information I'll share it here incase someone else made the mistake of using them.

I've gotta say, DO NOT use Bluehost.
Today is not the only issue. The 99.99% uptime is BS. There's been more than a few occasions this past month where I'd go to access a site and I couldn't. Google Webmaster Tools also shows 12 DNS errors.

The days the sites do work, they are often slow. Sometimes a full 20 seconds to load a simple wordpress page that should load almost instantly. "Dissatisfied" hardly begins to describe how I feel at the moment but I'll stop whining.

[SUP]Okay so I tried calling and the automated system picks up but when I press 2 for Tech Support ... Nothing happens, it just keeps talking away "Press 3 for [...]" so I guess that's that. All sites are down and there's no support in sight.[/SUP]

It's ok guys, the world isn't ending. Bluehost is well aware of the problem and they're fixing it, I'm sure as fast as possible. I've had dozens of sites hosted with bluehost for years now. My only complaint is they keep creeping the price up a little every year. Their uptime is more like 99.98%, nothing worth changing hosts for. Hostgator and dreamhost are pretty much the same. Certainly not worth bashing them because they go down for a few hours because of a fluke. At worst my sites will be down for about a minute every few months on average, and a few hours today because of something unexpected. That's more than acceptable.

All hosting companies have their issues but I'm not a big fan of Godaddy. A number of hosting companies have also been under a series of DNS attacks that they don't want to publicize for any number of reasons.

lool, ya. Well, hey! Actually I made a thread last night. Don't worry, I've been lurking since '06. I would Fk bluehost with a rusty clothes hanger if I felt it necessary, but I don't. I just see a bunch of "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"
