Usually if I spam blogspots I get lots of index. Some sites can get like 50k index or something (with high risk getting banned).

Now, it doesn't work anymore. Not even with pinging.

    I wonder why.

The issue is in the ' fact that you are spamming '.

With the government laws against it in recent years, everyone is turning tail on it now. I personally have never used it and never will, ( no offense to you or anyone else that uses it, just not my thing ).

What people don't realize is that all of the services that provide automated pings and such are now not only socially responsible for allowing it to happen/preventing from happenning. They are legally bound as well.

It is a new game when it comes to these practices. Best bet is to work smarter by upping your other techniques of honestly communicating with potential traffic. If you have a cold list of emails, you DON'T have to spam them. You can make a little effort and contact them very easily by telling them you recently received their email through a subscription or email listing service and you'd like to...

or, tell them that you have them in your database as a subscriber and to remain in your list, they must resubscribe, into your new system, otherwise they are off. They will check your side 100% of the time on this one, as human vainity won't let them go without seeing what they possibly forgot over time.

As for the point of the indexing issue, the SE are in the same boat as the rest of us. The internet is being help socially and legally responsible. Google isn't going to risk a multiple billion dollar company getting put on the hotseat but users not using them due to spam sites being in the mix and frustrating them, nor allow it to risk their reputation by being the target of a major government crackdown on spammming and spam sites.

Keep these thinges in mind, as they do and will effect everyone, especially those doing it.
