    Hello guys,
I have a blogspot and with your help and lots of posts i managed to climb to page #3.
The blog has the best content among its competition - actually most of the other sites have almost
    no content at all.
So far i have added slowly external links to the blog.

    The questions:
    1) is, is it worth it to have internal links from the posts pointing to the homepage that i want
to rank? If yes how do i do it? Currently i have a post that i change the date so that it appears always first. Should i point the internal links to the post url? Or should i point to the domain url? (/)

    2) should every link have the same text? All i know is that i should always use a certain text with ONE certain link in order to avoid duplicate meta tags problem. But can i use different texts which all point to same url?

    3) also would u advice me to place internal links to all posts pointing to one another?

Thank you for your time and sharing your experience!

    Lakedaimon,

    1. Having internal links to your home page will help you to sculpt your PageRank flow throughout your site but it sounds like you just need to create some other pages. If you want to create an internal link, just make it look like any other link. If its internal, all you really need is the request URI (everything after the end of the TLD). Where you point the link will depend on how you want to sculpt your PageRank as well how you want to direct users to other relevant information. For instance if you had a post about something and you reference a previous post as part of the new post, you may reference that old post with a link in case the reader wants to see that information.
    2. For the anchor text, use whatever is relevant to the actual link and information on the other end. For instance if you had a post about installing a furnace and you reference it in a post about an air conditioner, it might look something like this.
"in my previous post about Furnaces, we talked about changing your filter on a monthly basis. The same is not true for air conditioning units"
By using the words "previous post about Furnaces" as your anchor text, you let the reader know that if they decide to follow that link, they will be reading a post about furnaces. Make sense?

    1. I think it is always a good idea to have internal links to other parts of your website. Not only does it help search engine bots find your content, but it helps readers find it too.
Think about sculpting on your entire site. Remember that bots will follow links so things like your home page link you should make nofollow.

Cutts has a pretty good post here on PageRank sculpting,

    hope that helps you,

    Shawn
