I just created a blog at both of these sites. Removed the standard wordpress "Hello World" post and the links and then added a basic, "Hey everyone, thanks for visiting my new blog" type of post.

About as real as you could possibly get. Real blog post. Did I say REAL? No links, no nothing.

As soon as I hit publish, I got an error message saying the blog was banned because it triggered a spam filter.

Since this was about as genuine a post as you can get, what in the world is the spam filter tuned to look for? Can anyone get a blog at these site up and keep it up or are these sites really just pretty much nuked....even for the average old lady that wants to take pictures of her poodle and post them up for her little crew of poodle-lovers to see?

It happened to me as well yesterday on Blogetry. I put up a unique article and it got deleted. It pisses me off because I typed directly on Blogetry and I have no copy of the article that I just wrote.

Same happened to me. I emailed them to complain from my fake persona's addy and complained about how offended I was that they took down my blog etc. etc., and they wrote back saying that there spam filter isn't perfect but I had set it off. My first post was personal crap, no links even a pic.

Funny thing is they reinstated the blog for me. Don't know if I should develop it with all that trigger happy bullshit...

I'm not messing with either of those sites anymore. I found BlinkWeb, WebStarts, and Jimdo. All of these have blog modules and the root domains have good PR.

Are they wordpress? No. Are they SEO'd to the max? No. But I just need them as filler sites for my support network on the money site.

For edublogs it's normal, just write you don't understand why when you have the message, wait 1-2 weeks before to receive a email and get your blog back.
