    Hello Friend,
I am sorry I can not help you with selecting a niche. Because I have just got things(Hosting + Domain) ready for my blog.

I think we can help each other in the process of making the blog and running it. Like Problems and Solutions in our own journeys

The old advice of doing a blog about something you love is a bit outdated.

What you can do is blogging about something you love(old advice) but with a twist.

For example, for restaurants, you can blog about cheap delicious restuarants.

Your topic should be similar to a long-tail keyword. So it should have an angle to a domain of your interest.

As a hosting provider we always advise writting about new trends related to the digital world.
Cyber is the new sexy and the CPC is hitting the bells (and our bills as advertisers :) )

So if you want to make over $4 per click then the tech niche is for you :)

For example we own some sexy keywordmatch domains for google VR with CPC of 3-5$ with low comp.

@Chris.Roark is right , bloging for something you love is outdated :)

The reason why people advise to blog about what you love is because that usually means you know a lot about that specific topic, and as a result you most likely have a lot of knowledge/experience, which you can share with others.

The tech/legal niches may have high payouts on Adsense, but if you know totally nothing about what you are blogging about, then you would have to outsource heavily to keep up the content.

Just go with what you like and enjoy, believe me i have seen so many people jump on so called high paying niches only to get bored later.
Blogging is a long term project. Constantly writing about a subject that you don't enjoy is a tedious slog, YOU will get bored and lose interest.
