Blogging in other languages

Has anyone ever tried to run a blog or blogs in a language other than English? I'm thinking of trying it, but not sure how things like adsense work in foreign languages, or if it's even a viable idea.

Why not just run the blog in english and add a Tranlator Plugin.

If you look for a foreign proxy and view one of your current sites and see if the adsense changes to local listings rather than you local ones.
