Here is a cool tip might or might not have known but blogger is better than you think by having the main advantage of getting ranked faster by search engines like google.

Why? Simply because blogger is treated as an authority site by google and as google own the blogger platform already then that brings another advantage.

If you are a newbie and don`t know what an authority site is then here is a brief summary.

Authority site: Usually a site with a user friendly interface, a high amount of traffic and a well established name(these are the kind of sites we use everyday)

    Youtube=Authority Site

[TIP] Another great benefit of using an authority site. Chances are you make a video, put it on youtube, beef up your comment, rating, views and friends all done with automated software then you will get a good PR(Pagerank) from one video alone then just start interlinking and build a load of high quality backlinks.;)

That`s all for now but check out my social group on BHW called Ultimate Blackhat Experience and give some feedback on your favourite social networking sites along with tricks or feel free to check out some of my other threads and give me some well deserved thanks for all the Newbie`s or even if you did not know this already.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. I've been building blogger blogs for over 3 years now and they definately aren't indexed as quickly as they once were, nor are their rankings as good. Self-hosted blogs are now indexed much faster and generally rank better giving the same content and backlinks. This has been my experience for several months.

Wordpress blogs are usually indexed faster. Even if they are not self hosted.

I am a big fan of Blogger blogs. There is no better option for people that are not technically good to make their online money.

And Blogger is getting better and better, Blogger team is adding new features more often than before, and soon it won't be much difference between Wordpress and Blogger.

Again I'll have to agree with the folks who say that Booger isn't that good these days. (I like to call it Booger.) :) Many times I've struggled even with quality content and frequent posts to get my Booger blogs noticed or even indexed.

At the same time, if I cross test and do quality posts and frequent posts at either Squidoo or on Wordpress' own site, those sites are indexed right away and bring me much better actual traffic than blogger blogs. You have to remember that ever since Google moved its blogs over to its blog search index you're not going to see as many Blogger blogs ranking high organically anymore. But Squidoo lenses kick ass at this point in the first page of Google - and Wordpress hosted at their site works extremely well, better than Blogger, but you can't use commercial links there. So you have to be tricky about gradually linking to your "money" sites from your Booger blogs.

They are kind of right. Blogger just ain't what it used to be. I was comtemplating between blogger and WPMU and the results are interesting. I ran some tests by googling various product names and checking the first 10-20 results. I see more WP blogs than blogger. Try running this test yourselves and compare results with me. It will help me in my final decision as well.

Go to Google and search for whatever (the affiliate offer your looking to promote for instance). On the first page/ first 10-20 results. Your looking for the .com and .info, etc. sites. Click on their link and bring up the page. If your running Firefox (like most of us are), right click and select "view page source". Scan through the first some lines of HTML (around the header area) and looking for something like "Wordpress 2.7.1" or "Wordpress 2.6". If it was made with WP MU (the one you host yourself), it should leave some sort of footprint telling what program the website was created with. I've even got footprints from dreamweaver lol. Anyways, count how many of these .com sites make up the first 10-20 results.

Also, if your are using Firefox, it helps to install the free plugin "seo quake". It will help you determine the age of the WPMU blogs as well.

One last thing, on an interesting side note, I verified through multiple sources (seo quake as well as several pr check websites) and found out that there is no PR for "www.blogger.com" and "www.blogspot.com". Shouldn't an authority site have like a PR of 6+ or something.

Hope you found this post useful.

    Ahh...

The classic Blogger vs. WP debate...

IMHO Blogger is definitely not what it used to be. But that doesn't mean I still don't use it. Blogger still can be indexed and ranked quite fast in Google, and it's definitely one of the easiest platforms out there - so great for newbies.

With that said, WP is also great and also gets indexed fast as well. It is a bit more advanced than Blogger, so it takes a little getting used to.

I use both and have success with both. They both have their time and place in my marketing strategy.

If blogger had all the useful plugins WP had i would consider using it, but it doesn't, so i wont.

Is it true that blogger/blogspot rob half your adsense earnings for hosting?

For all my niches I do have my own hosted wordpress blog as my main money site. But I love using blogger as well.

BUT, for anyone who says blogger isn't that good or as good, or compares to whatever other option, one word for you...Griz. Griz's blogger blog ranks within the top 3 for most of the make money online terms. And most of his money blogs are blogger.

Now, he does have an amazing back linking network, but with good research in your niches, a blogger blog can definitely rank at the top easily just like any other platform.
