In order to get backlinks to a blog that you have at Blogger, do you have to get backlinks for your individual posts or for your main dot blogspot dot com site?

for example, I've been posting in forums with my main dot blogspot dot com site in my signature for a while now, and i have been making profiles on .edu sites, but whenever I never seem to have any backlinks. I've checked with numerous backlink-checker sites.

Maybe none of the places you have put your links have been visted by a search engine yet!

Have you tried pinging the pages that have your links on it. That way you can tell the SE's to visit the pages that have your links on it, and then they can start showing them up in their listings..

    I would suggest using either
    Code:
    www.pingler.com or
    www.pingoat.com

as these seem to work quite well..

Forgt about using pingomatic.com as it sometimes works and lots of times it doesn't.

    Hope this helps

Also, make sure the backlinks are "do-follow" and not "no-follow", as this will keep you from getting backlink credit.

One more thing, the ping services listed above are good source, however do not over-ping or you could get banned from certain sites.

Thanks for your responses. So.. if I need to keep using the ping services, I could use Tor or the likes to change IP's every time I ping to avoid bans?
