    Up until now I have made my IM career focusing on SEO utilizing PPC networks. I would like to utilize my SEO knowledge to target a storefront, but a large part of my strategy is using targeted articles within a blog.

    I would like to get users experiences who have SEO'd a storefront and would like to know what combination works best:

    • Plain Storefront w/Intro letter/article (Keyword Targeted)
    • Wordpress with a Shopping 'tab'
    • Regular storefront with little text
    • ...or anything else that SEO's well that can act as an online storefront.
    Thanks guys!

    .com = storefront
    .com/blog/ = blog

    .com/product.html gets a link to the .com/blog/product.html post
    make 2-3 blog posts per product

    ping and backlink to blog, rarely to store front pages

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

    I build my storefronts

    with products and brief information

    but I am constantly adding articles / reviews to the site - that can be accessed via a tab on the front page.

    I think there is alot of ways to do this - so what one person does - may not help or hinder another one.

    My experience..

    My TLD is co.uk
    .co.uk = storefront
    .co.uk/keyword=blog

    Few KW rich articles (8 I think to date) on ezine and a fair number of niche anchor text links back to blog content and to main site for keyword offering + a few web2's. Few hours work to start but just tick this over now. Domain was a year old when I started.
    Keep blog current with at least one posting per week but I always 'digg it'. G indexes it in seconds.

    The blog (which is info only) gets twice as many hits as the storefront but it is all targeted traffic and I do get conversions from it.
    Page 1 google for a raft of around 25 kw phrases related to the niche. Use a WP theme with links/descriptions in the sidebars to the storefront.
