    Hello All,

I am relatively new to the blogging scene but have grown to love the Wordpress platform. I'm finally adjusting to the templates, and the editing procedures associated with them. I have a few good plugins, and would like to actively start to promote by blogs. I have a few questions for the vets here in this post.

    1. Are there specific Blog website link directories? If so, is there a list floating around and/or a tool to submit your website to these directories? Or do you guys usually use the same directory submission procedures as you would for a standard website?

    2. Does anyone have a solid ping list they would be willing to contribute? Is shorter better? I found a list of 100 or so sites but I believe it is pretty old.

    3. Plugins - Which are the plugins that are staples in your collection? I have discovered the All-in-one SEO pack, Auto Social Poster 3.5 and a few others. Is there an Ebook or list floating around for plugin selection?

    4. Content - I have heard that there are a few auto poster plugins that will grab some info from the RSS feeds and simply post them to your site. Is this recommended? If so, does anyone know the best plugin for the job? I'd like to keep the blogs up to date with real content but I dont want to suffer in the SERPs on account of it.

    5. Templates - In your opinion what's the best template type to use for optimal monetization layout. I would like to throw in a couple of affiliate banners, and of course adsense. Any reccommendations?

I hope my questions aren't too broad, but I apprerciate any help that you guys would like to give.

    - Jeff

find the best list of plugins try:
    http://mashable.com/2007/08/16/wordpress-god300-tools-for-running-your-wordpress-blog/
monetize plugins make sure to try hidden affiliate links, alinks, post post, shylock adsense plugins (not sure they are on this list)

*NOTE: "ONECLICK INSTALL" IS THE TOP PLUG-IN in my opinion! With it and the Firefox extention you don't have to log into CPanel to install plugins (just right click). --> http://anirudhsanjeev.org/oneclick-plugin/

I'm not convinced that you need a really long list of ping services, and that it might actually hurt you.

Go here for a much shorter list and an explanation why: hxxp://w3.instant-info-online.com/wordpress-compressed-all-inclusive-ping-list.html

Ya I agree with goonieguhu that you don't need a long list of ping service.

But I would be nice to have lots of place to ping to just in case none of the ping services are good.
