Hi, I've been thinking of using blog posts only for newly created sites to rank faster on google instead of wasting time with web2.0s, bookmarks, etc...
Do you think i can rank solid with quality blog posts from high pr links only for lets say low to medium competitive sites? I've heard some saying that its not a good idea to use blog posts for new sites and other saying it okay with diversified links...If it's safe how would you build the links? thanks!

For new sites , it will be considered as spam if you go for high pr sites. I will say step by step , go from low to medium then jump to the occult :)

I don't think, High PR blog post affect new site, if you build links in slower manner, i.e drip feed method.

For brand new site, if you built high quantity of links over a day will only consider as spam or unnatural to the eyes of Google.

I would suggest to start with slow link building.. make few dozens of high quality web 2.0s, let the domain age a little bit and then do some blog posting. If you try to make build up everything in short period of time I am worried everything will get crumpled.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Have a strategy and it will be all right.
