    Hello,

I had a thought about AdWords this morning and I was wondering if it was possible for someone to set up a AdWords campaign for a close competitor just to block them from having their own campaign.

You could set up the ads and just have a 1p a day budget or just pause the campaign.

I was thinking that in theory it could work as it doesn't require any code on the site or any official details/company based email addresses.

I imagine if the company that is being blocked bothered Google enough they would kick you off.

Plus It is hugely unethical and anti competitive.

last I checked more than 1 person could link to the same domain...the high bidder won. so unless you're willing to actually spend money on a campaign for them...why wouldn't google see them as the high bidder and just ignore your ads?
