    Hi,

My site seems to have been blocked by Akismet - When I post on most blogs I get a lovely white screen.

Is there any way to get unblocked? This is a whitehat site.

I was doing a lot of blog commenting.

    Thanks!

Since you are blocked, I woould suggest registering a new domain name that is simlilar or related. I dont think its possible to get unbanned even with your white hat site because you were spamming.

I have heard of Akismet blocking after only 15 comments for some people. I think it's time to get some doorways and then backlink to them....

    It's a easier solution.

Would registering a domain and then having it permanently redirect to my site have a positive effect?

    1. Use proxies when submitting to blogs
    2. Use different url, different Name, different Email when submitting

it is always good not to leave too much footprint by using same url, email or ip. U will save yourself a alot of headache by just taking this precautionary method

Buy an .info domain and set it to redirect. Use different emails and link to different pages of your site. Also change acnhor text.

    So what?

Use other link sources. There are thousands to choose from.

Off-site SEO cannot hurt your rankings in the long term, because of the threat of sabotage.

Google know this, and the worst they will do is ignore a link if they think it's too spammy.

    really simple

own atleast 10 blogs with akismet enabled along with all comments requiring moderation instead of automatic spam rejection

on all 10 blogs post a comment with your banned url and approve those comments after akismet has classified it as spam

it would help if the ips of those 10 blogs are different

10 is just an rule of thumb figure you may need more or less, it basically makes akismet recheck the spamming website

the unbanning wont be immediate though

btw, i have seen rankings of my websites going down after akismet banning, so google is also keeping an eye out for it so try feeder sites for comment spamming.

    just my 2 cents

    regards,

can someone elaborate on this? Do you mean we should just build a whole bunch of other wordpress blogs, put our main site link in them and for comment link building just use the url of those other blogs I built not my main site?

I'm just wondering how people post thousands of comments and never get banned. Do they not use their main site in those comments? If so what do they use?

Maybe they build more slowly in WP and then use other blogging platforms? Or they are lucky and find WP blogs without the Akismet plugin installed? Now that would be cool, as it can be a right nuisance if you go blogging, I got burnt with quality comments!
