We all know alexa and their famous rank but there has been something else bugging me recently.
Alexa also records up- and downstream sites meaning they show to everybody which pages did the users visited before and after they have been visiting your site.
Here are the problems:
1. CPV networks are shown as upstream sites (not very good if the affiliate manager has a look at this)
2. Even the merchant's page are shown as upstream site, which is highly unlikely to be that way using white hat ( should only appear as downstream)
So, I have had a script developed to block all users using the alexa toolbar but they still send a request to my site (and getting 403).
Has anybody thought about that and has a solution or some thoughts on how to solve these problems?
