Is it fine to blast brand new YouTube videos with back-links? I mentioned my plan to get my YouTube video ranked and part of it involved back-links like social bookmarks and the suck. From the feedback I've received, I've had about 80-90% of the people saying that back-linking is fine for a YouTube video and the more the better. However, I'm wondering is it fine to blast like 10,000+ back-links to it when the video has just gone live. Also, can you use ANY type of back-link for a YouTube video as you would use for a website? Any feedback is appreciated :)

Edit: I plan on using wiki back-links and social bookmarks by the way.

You can blast them even when they are new. But I doubt you need 10k - For social bookmarks 500-1k should be enough. These work well I don't know about wiki links I recently blasted a video with 300 and it barely helped at all but maybe if you do more it will.

From my experience YT videos can take pretty much anything you throw at them.

Yeah, I plan to blast about 10,000-15,000 wiki links at it and 500-1,000 social bookmarks. I'm just going to use Fiverr because it's cheap and reading reviews from certain providers who have hundreds/thousands of orders it looks like it would do the job for this.

I've read in other threads/case-studies that direct blasting YT videos with spammy blog comments produce negative results... however it would be interesting to see what happens when blasted with wiki and social bookmarks.

Anyway, ranking a YT video is very similar to ranking a website, you'll need more quality than quantity backlinks in order to achieve good results, specially in your tier 1 links.

Can I ask what software you use to backlink your videos? UD?

Yes, I've read about that also. However, I haven't read anything that relates to normal back-links such as wikis or web 2.0s or anything, almost all of them are blog comments. I think it should be fine though blasting wikis/social bookmarks, I heard YouTube videos can take a lot of abuse anyway. The gig I'm purchasing has like 33 positive reviews but there's another 10 in queue and the seller is level 2. He is offering 12,000+ contextual wikis from 4,000+ different domains or so. Either that, or he's offering 150. I really don't know, his gig title and gig description is different. I don't think it should be too hard though to find somebody on Fiverr who would blast 10,000+ wikis. This should be an interesting case study anyway. If it ranks, I guess I'll post it up for others to see.

Edit: Scratch the wikis part. I found a reputable seller for this on Fiverr.

No, I'll just be purchasing Fiverr gigs or from another provider here. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks! I don't think it'll be TOO difficult, the keyword I am using is a product name with 5,400 exact searches and the YouTube video on the first page of Google is garbage. I honestly have no idea how that video got there.
