I have a site that is listed on DMOZ, and was wondering if it would be worth it to blast that page with Scrapebox, Xrummer, Articles, Social Bookmarks ....you name it....and thus hopefully raise the value of the link juice on that DMOZ page.

Do you think DMOZ would make for a good 1st tier link to a money site? Any experience with this?

DMOZ has been devalued over the years, this was even mentioned by Cutts in some of his webmaster videos on youtube. While it MAY still be a factor I don't think it's worth throwing all your eggs in that basket.

Google is smart. take penguin update for example. It will affect a page and not the domain. So even if you blast a dmoz page, Dmoz won't get affected but your dmoz page might.

He gives a good perspective on DMOZ in this video... I had a site listed in there for over a year and didn't see any sizeable benefits from being listed (I later took this site off DMOZ and added my new and improved White Hat site - the change was instant since I'm editor of my category). Just because someone's site is in DMOZ, it doesn't mean they will necessarily gain any benefits - it most likely depends on the overall link profile of a given site, e.g it could be listed in DMOZ or Yahoo Directory, but could have been blasted with xRumer links as well.

DMOZ would make an excellent buffer.
