Ok, so has it been decided that using an SSL certificate will blank the referrer 100% of the time no matter what?

If not, is there a way that blanks the referrer literally 100% of the time, or a way to check 100% of the time and if it is not blank then re-meta refresh or something?

I think double meta refresh blanks the referer all the time, I've been using that simple script, always worked for me, no need to buy SSL certificate, not sure about what you're asking...

And just an advice, if you're in affiliate marketing, don't always blank the referer(100%), it's better to fake it!

You should fake your referrer instead of blanking it.

You shouldn't DMR traffic anymore, it's pretty much outdated now. I did it when I first started and I got leaked refs from browsers like Safari and Chrome. Luckily no one noticed (or they didn't care), but from then on I just fake it.

Just buy a .info and set up a quick WP blog with a couple posts and install CPA Redirector 2, easy and you don't get leaked refs.

Not sure what you're talking about SSL's for though, they won't blank anything :D

So is the fake referrer 100% fool proof then? If I use the CPA redirector? Does it ever not work?

Also, I thought if you pass a user through a page that is https it blanks the referrer.

Nothing is 100% guarantee if thats what your looking for. But for now the fake method works great.

Don't rely on SSL anyway - browsers decide there - FF and safari etc. leak the ref. even if you use ssl.

I would use the meta refresh referrer that was the refer is blank and just tell your CPA manager you use it to protect your source of advertising. I use it with Neverblue and so far no problems

I've been using CPA redir for ~6 months now and it hasn't failed me once. DMR on the other hand failed me within a week lol

No one method is 100% foolproof, but CPA redir is as good as it gets (for now).

Ok, so you guys are saying sometimes the referrer gets through even with that cpa faker thing? I don't understand, if the referrer was faked, if that didn't work, then what shows? The real referrer?

Can anyone comment if the faked referrer method works 100% of the time? If it does not work, then what is shown? The real referrer?

    See:

I personally have never had problems with it, nor have I heard stories about anyone who has. But the point we're trying to make is that no method can be 100% foolproof.

There may come a time in the future where it begins to stop working, as is the nature with the internet. But until then, it works perfectly.
