BHW lurkers and heavy posters alike,

I'm honored to be speaking at the first IRL conference this November. IRL I'm Joe Sinkwitz. You won't find too many threads from me as I keep to the shadows, but don't worry, I'm not exactly new to this game. I got started in search in 1997, helping out a local doctor sell non-prescription ointments online; not too long after that I was doing biz dev for iCrossing and on the heels of that became one of the biggest payday affiliates out there for an 11 year period. Want to know more? Ask.

What am I going to talk about? As a more public person now in my role as chief of revenue for CopyPress I think it'd be helpful to explain how blackhatters can go 'legit' because I truly believe that blackhats make the best whitehats from both an offesensive and defensive perspective. Smart people can see what BH still works and then apply similar concepts but in more sustainable ways for their WH projects...and as many of your know, a lot of BH still works. As soon as one stops testing and observing, the fun ends. While today the products and services I'm responsible for have to be clean for the clients we serve, having deep underlying knowledge of what still works, is starting to work, and might work in the future allows whitehats to adopt blackhat concepts in non-linear ways. In the past I've covered cms hacking, neg SEO, and more; the concepts referenced will be fresh and relevant.

Linkedin: look for 'Joe Sinkwitz' some of my past presentations are on there, discussing negative SEO, bitflipping for SEO, how to not waste your time during a big algo update, etc

    Cheers!

This post should not go un-noticed, I cannot claim anywhere near the experience above but as a full time Agency whitehat that just happens to know his way around xrumer (and most of the other stuff) I completly agree.

Serious players in this game for sure. What's crazy about the marketing game is that you have a couple big fish and lotsa little ones floating around :)

I purposefully do not like to speak much on tactics that work on-line, in crawlable/indexable non-hidden areas. If there's certain things you're curious about, PM me...most of the time I find new stuff by either:
    1. Dumb luck
    2. Looking at crazy phrases like 'buy viagra' to see what's working this very minute

I don't think there's a rocket science to it all; it just takes breaking down the mindset and parceling out longterm vision with shortterm vision and employing tactics that play to both.

I do have to say that I'm looking forward to talking about some of the darker stuff. My last few presentations to giant digital agencies have understandably skewed more towards whiter strategy, for the behalf of their clients.

What would be more beneficial to those of you going? Some rough ideas...
    1. How to figure out which of your competitors might be most prone to neg SEO?
    2. Authority signals keep on shifting; what are big brands doing that you can fake?
    3. What type of links are working as of 2 biz days prior to the presentation?

I can either get technical as I did in Austria, walking through an exploit and how easy it is (and thus how easy it should be for G to fix if they cared) or can try to give you less technical but actionable takewaways in philosophical shifts. If you insist on remaining 100% BH in your tactics, you'll need a longer term focus to survive.

BHWconference has grown into something better, bigger & more essential to the success of your business.
We've teamed up with some of the world's most influential and provocative thinkers and we're sponsoring the event which will truly help you maximise your earning potential. It's a unique, no holds barred UNconvention: UNGAGGED - hosted this year by Erika Napoletano.

UNGAGGED will break rules. Rules you may not know existed but which have constricted every other SEO convention you have ever attended.
At UnGagged, geniuses who know how to help you profit, will speak without fear of being told to STOP, by the corporates who think they're in charge.
You'll hear stuff you won't hear anywhere else, ever again. (At least, not until the next UnGagged!)

Things are changing. And we're excited to be part of the change.
Looking forward to seeing you at UnGagged.
