BHW lurkers and heavy posters alike, I'm honored to be speaking at the first IRL conference this November. IRL I'm Joe Sinkwitz. You won't find too many threads from me as I keep to the shadows, but don't worry, I'm not exactly new to this game. I got started in search in 1997, helping out a local doctor sell non-prescription ointments online; not too long after that I was doing biz dev for iCrossing and on the heels of that became one of the biggest payday affiliates out there for an 11 year period. Want to know more? Ask. What am I going to talk about? As a more public person now in my role as chief of revenue for CopyPress I think it'd be helpful to explain how blackhatters can go 'legit' because I truly believe that blackhats make the best whitehats from both an offesensive and defensive perspective. Smart people can see what BH still works and then apply similar concepts but in more sustainable ways for their WH projects...and as many of your know, a lot of BH still works. As soon as one stops testing and observing, the fun ends. While today the products and services I'm responsible for have to be clean for the clients we serve, having deep underlying knowledge of what still works, is starting to work, and might work in the future allows whitehats to adopt blackhat concepts in non-linear ways. In the past I've covered cms hacking, neg SEO, and more; the concepts referenced will be fresh and relevant. Linkedin: look for 'Joe Sinkwitz' some of my past presentations are on there, discussing negative SEO, bitflipping for SEO, how to not waste your time during a big algo update, etc Twitter: cygnusSEO Cheers!
