i jus found out that someone has been checkingout my messages how do i kno? because you when you receive a message the tittle be all bright yellow well in my case i received a message check it out cause the box popped up but someone had already checkout my message because the the tittle had already been clicked on and it looks dual looking watchout peeps you are being spied on

well im just warning people be careful on wat kind of info you pass back and fort using the private pm box and why is it called private message when people fucking checkout your messages???

i dont kno who is checking my messages but all i know is this i as soon as i logedin into bhw the you got a new message box popped up clicked on the ok button just to findout the tittle had already been clicked on but it was not by me
 
Well why wouldn't they?

I would think it's in their best interest, especially on a forum like this to keep a watchful eye on what's going on behind closed doors.

If you ain't got nothing to hide, at least from the mods, then why you worried?

You can't keep a house clean without srubbin the toilets too.

Really, who the hell cares? Are you sending ALL your top secret personal info through PM's? I really don't expect much privacy the moment I turn my computer on.

I can assure you that no regular member on the board is reading your PMs... If your PMs are being read... Then they are being read by an Admin of BHW - No exceptions.

If an Admin is checking your PMs then they are doing it for a reason. We actively monitor for fraud, PM selling, scammers, and scumbags. We do this to protect everyone on here. If you are not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about.

Damn I guess I better stop sending and storing my SSN and Bank Routing numbers in my pm inbox. It's just so convenient though.. <sighs> Seriously.. privacy, like security is only an illusion.
 
I don't care if anyone reads my messages...I have nothing to hide. I guess that is probably the key. Keep yourself on the up and up and you won't have anything to worry about....
 
to OP. It is a rule of the forum that pm soliciting isnt allowed. The mods are checking up for that. hell one of the senior members of the forum got banned a while ago remember?

So basically, there are no exceptions, stay clean, stay out of trouble, thats how bhw works IMO.
 
The link wasn't bold faced so that is the proof someone is reading your PMs? Seems unlikely since vbulletin has a nice little mod that lets the admins read PMs without logging into your account and clicking on anything. You would never know.

With that said I agree that PMs should be private, and unless there is a really good reason nobody else should be reading them. If that is done on a regular basis by the admins then it should be put in the rules or TOS to let people know it happens.

Though I really have nothing to hide either we bitch and complain about the government invading our privacy, but we fully accept individuals doing so?

Like many have already said, I could care less if my PM's are being read by MOD's. I have nothing to hide and I'm not doing anything illegal. As a matter of fact, I encourage it. It's to protect everyone in this forum from being ripped off. Look at all of the people who are complaining about being ripped lately. It's for your own protection.
 
no forum is totally private. so *never* discuss anything via pm that you wouldn't discuss in
the public message base.
