    Hello friends,

I'm reading a lot of threads about SEO on page and SEO off page and I think the SEO on page means a lot more than backlinks (offpage). Someone told me if you don't deliver google what he wants you can have a lot of backlinks but can't rank.
Right now I know just the basics of SEO on page like h1 tags, description etc. but I know here are some httacces tricks or anything like that for getting up more quickly than just without having them.

Well... what's anything about seo on page we (us... newbies) have to know? Please share from your experience. Hope that topic will help others.

    Thank you

Not really any black hat tricks you can do for on-page optimisation any more. Once upon a time you could get away with keyword stuffing and cloaking, but Google is too clever for that now. Just stick with conventional white hat tactics.

I think the general consensus is that off page is 80-90% and on page is 10-20% - which I would agree with.

I come from a web designer background, so naturally implement the correct SEO elements as I go along anyway, and for the majority of you who use wordpress blogs thats done for you automatically. I don't bother with alt tags or anything like that, it's a waste of time in my opinion.

Time that could be better spent link building - which is the thing that will get you your results.

I'll also back this up with an example. I just launched a site about 3 weeks ago. It was based on a $20 template as was wasting too much time trying for a unique look. It's a .com.au , containing keywords but not an EMD.

I have built the navigation structure of the site and published each page with all pics and headings. I haven't got any actual content other than the standard template design latin still in place, other than 2 actual product pages and the final booking/info form ( I work backwards, always have for some reason).

I started linkbuilding about a week and a half ago. I pointed a on topic PR5 homepage link from a page with no other OB links at it and did a 200AA AMR blast at it. Thats it.

It's now ranking 3/4 for the main search term and starting to rank for the other (unlinked yet) pages. (One of the 2 product pages actually made a 4 figure sale 2 days ago!)

remember my page still has only latin template content.

And thats why I believe links are much more important than onpage SEO.

just make sure that you have some relevant content, your target keywords are scattered around the site in normal text and in bold and header tags. Don't stuff your site with your target keywords though. A keyword should be just around 5% of a pages content. Some people say that Google does not care about meta tags anymore, but I still make sure that my keywords are in those meta tags, specially the title. After this, get busy getting backlinks.

On-page stuff is all white hat. Make sure you have an EMD, long posts (1000-2000 words in some cases) of original content. Include videos, recent comments widgets, lots of pages that can keep your viewers clicking and staying on your page. Purchase comments, +1's, Retweets and Diggs on Fiverr and that will help too. All of that is whitehat and will help you rank, but you[edit: CAN'T] get to #1 without backlinks.

One note--you also should have a good posts to backlinks ratio. I've seen studies that say that if you have 100 pages of content and a large number of backlinks, the content will actually hurt you because the ratio of backlinks to content is too low.

Page title is still a huge factor in ranking.

There're no "Tricks" you can use to rank on-page... All Blackhat SEO you can get away with nowadays is Off-page. Just a word of forewarning: I'm a Google rater, and we're trained to take down iframes, Cloaking, unnecessary redirects and all o' taht Jazz... even though we're prolly not as diligent as we should! XD
