hi, I'm planning to buy 2 domains with namecheap and hosting with http://blackhathosting.net.

but I don't want to give my real adress, names, surname, etc.

because I don't want the people to know my name, but can I do this. lets say with the namecheap registration I'm going to give a false name, adress, surname, etc. would that matter, or doesn't it matter.

and with the hosting, I give a false name etc.

would this work, can I do this. or will they stop my account.

it's all about privacy, no1 must know my name, with my site.

Hi messi1,

I was also curious about this myself. I read... namecheap.com/legal/reg-agreement.asp (I am new here and can't post URLs until I have 15 posts) Specifically 13.ACCURATE ACCOUNT CONTACT INFORMATION AND DOMAIN NAME WHOIS INFORMATION. It does say if they find out that they do have the right to terminate or suspend your account. I do not know how strict they are on this policy because I haven't attempted to cross that line.

One thing they do offer is Whois guard, which protects all your info.

Good luck! :)

They all say that because they have to. I don't know the laws to quote but if anyone proves you have fake info on your domain your domain is taken down because you broke it. Now the rest is up to you, if you use whois guard people cannot see your info to tell anyone it's fake.

Namecheap offers a free who is guard - just use this one... - aslo if you buy from Namecheap, make a search on Google for "Namecheap coupon + month" then you get the domains slightly cheaper

Never heard of these things. Will try though. :)

I'd guess you want to ask about blackhathosting from Harro :D

raphael you dirty dog, got to it first ;p with namecheap they offer a free whois guard, but you have todo standard checkout, not express checkout... its free and hides your info.. i have about 45 domains through namecheap right now...
