PayPal error makes Chris Reynolds a quadrillionaire and world's richest man

He normally uses the online payments company for small transactions amounting to no more than £60-£70 a month

Public relations man Chris Reynolds became a quadrillionaire after a PayPal error left him with a 17-figure account balance.
Chris normally uses the online payments company for small transactions amounting to no more than £60-£70 a month.
He buys and sells vintage car parts on eBay.
But when he checked his latest email statement, he found he had become the world’s richest man – on paper.
PayPal had credited his account with $92,233,720,368,547,800 (that’s £ 60,600,321,314,412,000).
Chris, 56, a father-of-three from Delaware County, New York State, said: “I’m just feeling like a million bucks.
"At first I thought that I owed quadrillions.
“I’m a very responsible guy. If I really had that sort of money, I would pay the national debt down first.”
He would also like to buy his favourite major league baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies, he added.
Sadly, Chris’s dream of wealth soon evaporated. When he checked his balance online it was zero.
A PayPal spokesman said that the company would not discuss individual customer accounts for reasons of privacy.

Last year PP sent me a little over $1000 when I was withdrawing to my bank account. Took them 2 weeks to reverse the payment back.
