So what do you think guys? Made or Born?

Only ask because it occured to me that cookie stuffing is not so very far away from what i was doing in Shopping Mall competitions when i was only nine years old.

I used to take hundreds of competition applications and then fill them out hundreds of times then stuff them in the competition box while no one was looking.

One time i was called out in third place to an audience of about 5 thousands shoppers. There was i at 9 years of age receiving shopping vouchers to all the outlets in the shopping mall with my mum looking proudly on.

I wasn't thinking how smart i was back then - but i was thinking how stupid everyone else seemed. lol.

Any good stories of your own as a kid?

    best,

    Rudy

i think blackhat is born in you....not everyone looks for an angle to work...the things i have done in my life was to work the odds and look at the angles to see where to win.

people are born as babies. It's the surroundings they are raised in that make them who they are.

Donald Trump has a theory that either you are born with it, or your not.

I think this is true for any, but I also think you can sharpen your iron through hard work and study.

So I will go with BOTH.

I was born to make money. I wouldn't say I was born blackhat. As a kid I used to spend my meager allowance to buy packs of gum which were 50 cents back then. Each pack contained 5 pieces. I used to sell them at school for 25 cents per piece. That's $.75 profit per pack. When you could sell at least 2-3 packs a day, that was decent money for that time (20some years ago).

Later on I ended up on lunchroom duty as a punishment quite frequently. Chocolate milk was available but usually only the first classrooms to get to the lunchroom would have a chance at getting it since it was in limited supply. I learned very quickly to keep back 6-8 cartons of chocolate milk for the kids who came in later who would pay me an extra quarter or two for the chocolate milk.

So in school I was making around $5 a day just hustling items that were very common outside of school but hard to get "on the inside." Add that to the money I made on my paper route and neighborhood lawn mowing jobs and I was raking in the dough.

I will say a product of my environment. I was encouraged because of situations to go into business, and I never liked when people told me what to do. I was first interested in business/marketing when in highschool I hated my highschool job. The city had a program where they pay you to take some business classes over the summer, and my teacher told my class about it. (It was to encourage young people to be entrepreneurs) I originally went because I thought it was easy money to just sit there and listen.
The program interested me, and they also had local businessmen visit the program. I like the idea of making my own money, setting my own time, etc. I eventually find out about online marketing, and then blackhat marketing.

I was just born.. ya know? My environment supported me becoming the logical type (as opposed to the creative/art type), as well as having the mistaken belief that in order to get rich you have to work hard and move up at a regular j-o-b.

However, now that I've had enough of the latter, I'm training myself to bring out more of the creativeness, which I feel is more important than technical skills in the BH world.

Anyone can make themselves into anything as long as they have some sort of idea of where they are and which direction they want to go.

How can you be 'born' to blackhat?? Doesn't make sense. If you were born into a rich family, with all the money and luxuries and freedoms you could ever want, would you honestly be blackhatting? Hell no! You would just enjoy your life.

If I lived on a tropical island with beautiful beaches, a nice house, wonderful food, and nothing to worry about...I would not spend my days on a computer tricking people into completing CPA offers.

Blackhatting is something that (I think I speak for many of us) is done out of necessity. It's a shitty economy right now, and the job market is pathetic. Those of us with the drive, hustle, and ambition will figure out ways to make money.

But if all were sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns, I doubt most of us would be blackhatting.

I'm too guilt prone to go through with all of the scams I come up with. M and my friend hatch an idea to steal more than a 100k, but we were too moral and scared to go through with it... I think that certain people are born with a devious mind. The one's that are successful are willing to try everything even if it means fkng people over.
