    Hi.

Found a decent keyword, but the best tld's have gone.

Is .biz any good for ranking?

Any good? Not really. Are any of the TLDs ranking for that keyword? Although, I have seen .biz's ranking above .coms. It really just depends on your SEO skills.

    Thanks for the reply Jimmy.

I have checked the first couple of pages, and there are no tld's, so thats why i thought it maybe easier to rank. It's easy competition too, but have never much heard positive about .biz

It would only be worth it if the competition is low/medium and you're doing outstanding SEO.

Thanks for the replies. The first 2 pages have no tld's at all, so im thinking to buy a .co.uk (im targetting the uk market) , not emd as they are not available, but as close to emd as possible.

I think that may work better, what do you think?

Many people will say the domain extension has no effect on SEO.

That's the way it should be, but I've done SEO for so long and I know that certain extensions are more responsive to the SERP's especially when ranking on Google.

I'm not sure why that is, but I have ranked more .com's top 10 than anything else, then it would be .edu, .net and .org, .biz, .us, and finally .info
