BitMEX Email Address Leak

BitMEX just leaked data of thousands of their customers by sending a mass email (in 1k batches) and not adding recipients to BCC. Seems they are taking some measures by locking larger accounts from withdrawal. Might be a good idea to change your BitMEX email and also enable 2FA if you trade there! The email i got had something like 1000 addresses of other people!

Also be extra careful with scam email links as these addresses are been shared with hackers.

They got hacked. There was a confirm by their COO that many users were affected and leaked data (so far) seems to be email addresses. There is also a handle on twitter claiming to have all the info and leaking it.

Their twitter account was also hacked for a short period of time this morning.

No, it's not public. Nobody knows it happened. In fact, this entire thread doesn't really exist. It's just your imagination.
