I slept yesterday at 9 pm, Bitcoin was 12500$. I didn't opened my laptop till now and I enter and big surprise: bitcoin is 16k$. That literally means that if yesterday I'd buy a bitcoin i would have earned 3500$ by now! But, will it keep rising? I don't think so.
First of all, are people actually buying it to use it as a currency? Most of them aren't. People are just buying Bitcoin because it is "an investment" and they probably don't even know what it really is. Gold is bought an investment but is also bought to craft jewelry and many other stuff. Bitcoin is mostly used in illegal stuff either it isn't really used by people for buying normal stuff because seriously, would you use a currency every day that could from a day to another make you less rich by 50% ? I don't think so. So people are just buying it as an investment and because price is constantly rising. But my guess is that in a certain point, Bitcoin'll have reached his peak ( probably at 19-20K$ ) and people that hold those Bitcoins will be tempted to make a profit of this investment and start selling their Bitcoins. Price will drop a bit first, than this slightly price drop will encourage other people holding it for profit to sell them before it'll be too later and it'll go down until it reachs a certain price which where it'll stabilize. How much it'll be? I don't know, my guess is probably 10-12K$.
I'm not an expert at cryptocurrency but that's my guess and it can be totally false. I'd be happy to hear your suggestions.
