    Google this and Google that.

Are the methods to rank high on Bing/Yahoo any different?

    Does anyone here love bing?

    Do you hate it?

Bing and yahoo are much more challenging to rank on than google
If you lost all of your G-rankings you can always just retire ;)

I don't like bing or yahoo. But bing has indexed 500+ webpages of one of my websites. Then Google has indexed over 6,000 pages of over one of my website and I end up on the first page for around 10 main search terms. Yahoo has yet to index my webpage. I never been a fan of Yahoo even over the last ten years. I consider Yahoo a dead search engine.

Here is my opinion, Bing and Yahoo both take longer to index but they seem to respond better to direct blasts to sites. In other words a moderate level of spam gets results which of course then you tend to get hit by google. So I have found sticking with a slow steady approach to work with Google and eventually Bing/Yahoo too.

I am sure others have different experiences so I I am curious to hear your actual thoughts.

    I agree with this.

Bing seems to favor blog comments when Google almost completely ignores them.

Bing favors diversity more than Google. Bing likes to see unique domains and ips. If you have 50 backlinks coming from domain.com, Bing will only count one. Google on the other hand may count most of them. To rank high in Bing, you need to diversify your backlinks across unique ips and domains.

I've got the number 1 spot on yahoo and bing for a rather difficult longtail. The same site was number 5 on google before the update, now it's on page 3. I seem to rank higher on bing and yahoo for most keywords lately.

Wow, I completely disagree with this statement. I have a dozen ppl doing nothing but high PR blog commenting and our sites dominate in Google whereas they rank horribly in Bing. Your statement is reversed. Maybe it is true for worthless scrape box blasts but that is different than manual high PR blog commenting.

    Go outrank cheapviagrausa.com
for Viagra on Yahoo and let me know how easy it was... much easier to rank that term (at least temporarily) in google.

This seems very unnecessary and excessive... a dozen VAs is thousands/mth... just program a few bots for the sign up/email confirm task and cut your staff by 75%
I do find it rather incredible that you can find enough high PR pages that have d0follow comments to actually comment on and keep 12 people staffed full time. I've scraped and scraped and scraped for over a year and so far found 5000 or less with low OBLs and PRs of 2 or higher. Granted I do scraping by platforms (and use odd footprints that most people do not remove), and do not d0follow check massive amounts of moveable type or other platforms that are generally nofollow but do have d0follow comments strewn about.

For some of my sites I lost my rankings in Google, so I gave up on Google. The same sites in ranking position #200-#300
on Google now ranks on first page of Yahoo/Bing for medium-high competitive keywords.

If you want to ranking with Bing search engine, many traditions are presented to pick up your rank on Bing. You focus on Indexing, Flash Based Website Content, Anchor Text, and Page Authority and so on .

    Here is something I noticed.

Pre Penquin I had many of my target keywords bold in my content, i removed this styling post penguin as i though it looked a bit spammy, and the next rank check i did i had dropped off the first pages of bing and yahop for these keyword.

So this had lead me to belivie bing and yahoo take into account text in Bold.
