I've noticed that all my clients do really well on Google, but have close to no movement on Bing and Yahoo in terms of rankings. And this is over 6 months, so it cant be because Bing and Yahoo take time to index. Not that I particularly care, but I'm curious if anyone else is noticing this and has tried to do something about it. Its nice to show customers that they rank well in all the 3 search engines (though Google is by far the most important, it provides an extra "sizzle" at reporting time :)

Bing i think doesn't index all pages like google. This is where i find it exciting. Their algorithm i suppose is not as complex as of google. I ripped a blog post from a good DA site and wrote my self and posted on my blog, created high PR backlinks for that blog post and got indexed instantly.
Since all pages are not indexed, automatically competition decreases, hence, bing and yahoo motivates me to make money through legitimate blogging. Still find niches and won't stop blogging.
EDIT:- mark me if i am wrong somewhere, a new SEO learner here.

And Google does not require high PR links? Only Yahoo and Bing use those???!!

The first thing to do is to submit your suite map in bing webmasters. Unlike google, bing doesn't crawl your website until or unless it is visible to the world. (Pretty slime then google spider however). Just bookmark all your pages and get some impression in google for that keyword. Your page will be more visible to bing bot then.

Anyway, unlike google, bing doesnt pluck the high DA and PA websites. They give importance to new websites as well. Personally, i like bing as my keywords are in 1 page where google keeps me waiting in 4-5page for month.

First of all, Yahoo is powered by Bing although with some slight variations it seems to me.

Now, from my experience (and that experience includes ranking top 3 for several very high traffic terms and making much of my living from Bing/Yahoo traffic), keywords in the domain help immensely but not necessarily an exact match domain, just one with your main keyword in.

Next, and this is where it gets tricky, is that Bing/Yahoo absolutely love keyword rich anchor text links. So essentially to rank in Bing/Yahoo you have to go against current anchor text suggestions for Google. So ranking a site high in all 3 isn't easy and for clients you'd be better of prioritising Google over the other two (obviously) and maybe suggesting to them that they build a keyword rich satellite site to rank in Bing/Yahoo.

So if they sold blue widgets and they were already ranking well in Google for this term with their branded site, set up a new site and pump loads of keyword rich links at that instead.

I'm not mean, google won't look up for high pr backlinks to rank your website. I mean, yahoo and bing always give weightage to websites with more high pr backlinks. Also, In my experience, i ranked websites in yahoo and bing only with high pr blog comment backlinks.
