I swapped one landing page, conversions dropped 50%, CTR similar. Is Bing traffic more sensitive to landing page tweaks?

Bing traffic reacts differently; even small UX changes can drop conversions.

Test old vs new page with 50/50 split, see which converts better.

Yeah Bing users can be picky so even small landing page changes can tank conversions fast.

Yeah, Bing traffic can be a bit more sensitive to landing page changes—sometimes even small tweaks can throw off conversion rates if the page isn’t matching user expectations exactly.

Yeah, Bing’s traffic can be a bit more finicky with landing pages. Small tweaks might throw off the conversion flow, so try testing the old vs new pages or tweaking it again to match what worked before.

Yes, Bing's smaller, often less tech-savvy user base can be more sensitive to landing page changes; they value clear trust signals, simpler layouts, and immediate value propositions, so A/B test rigorously against your old page focusing on clarity and reducing friction.

Maybe the problem really lies with your landing page. What do you mean by traffic dropping? Did the number of clicks, impressions, or conversions drop? If the number of impressions dropped, Bing Ads may not be happy with the performance of your new landing page.

Roll back the LP for 3–5 days and compare. If conversions recover, it’s the page, not the traffic. Sometimes a minor headline tweak is all it takes.

I think his problem isn't conversions, but traffic. He says his traffic dropped after he changed his landing page. I think it's an optimization issue.

Sounds like it, but it's hard to tell without seeing OP LP

That’s definitely possible; Bing users sometimes appear to be more reliant on familiar layouts and predictable experiences than those coming from Google. It's wise to thoroughly A/B test any landing page changes, perhaps with a longer duration, specifically for your Bing audience. Consider reverting the change temporarily while you investigate further.

It’s possible Bing users are more discerning regarding landing page changes than those on Google; a significant drop suggests the new page isn't resonating with their search intent or expectations. Thoroughly analyze user behavior on the revised page—bounce rate, time on page, scroll depth—to pinpoint specific areas for improvement and consider A/B testing variations. It would also be wise to review if the keywords driving traffic align well with the landing page content now.

Yeah, Bing is pretty sensitive to LP changes, even small layout or copy tweaks can hit conversion rate hard despite CTR staying the same.

Yes, Bing traffic is sensitive so even small landing page changes can drop conversions while CTR stays similar.

Bing users are definitely more picky about landing page speed and layout. If your CTR is the same, it's probably a trust or loading issue on the new page that's killing the flow
