    Hey guys, Vlado here.

I?ve been lurking these forums for the past few months and today I have decided to take action. There is no use in sitting here scrolling through the pages all day when I could be learning and making money. I don?t have any special computer skills and my knowledge of Internet marketing is only what I?ve been able to read here and on other similar forums. I also haven?t bought any special programs or anything IM related yet either. I?m not going to claim to know everything or be an expert on anything because when it comes down to it I?m not very smart. Fortunately I?m clever and persistent which pays off in the long run. I plan on making a ton of mistakes and I welcome any suggestions and criticisms.

My goal for this journey is to become financially independent. If I had to pick a specific amount of money to be earning, $1500 a month will allow me to live comfortably almost anywhere on the planet while being able to save some money. I?d like to be able to earn that kind of money passively and I plan on putting forth the effort to achieve that goal. I?ve taken tons of notes over the past few weeks and there are a few methods I will be starting off with.

Fiverr seems the easiest way for me to start earning right away so I will be pursuing that route first. I don?t have a big budget, only around $500, so I will be using Fiverr profit, if I make any, to invest back into my goals. I am going to put up a gig today offering a service I can think of. There seems to be a market for article writers or proofreaders so I might pursue that. I?m also going to do some research on Fiverr gigs and try to determine if there are any other gigs I can offer like writing articles. I?ve never written articles for money but I have a lot of experience writing about a wide variety of topics. I created a Fiverr account a couple of months ago so if everything goes well hopefully I will be able to reach Level 1 status quickly.

My secondary focus will be on either the Amazon Affiliates program or Google AdSense. This is the route where a passive income could be earned. I am going to be doing some niche research this afternoon and plan to buy a domain tonight or tomorrow. The plan is simple enough - Create a website and fill it with unique content. I realize there is much more to it then that, but I will cross those roads when I get there. I had a Wordpress hosted blog a few years ago dedicated to new music releases but I had no idea about any aspect of Internet marketing at the time. I?m hoping this journey will teach me how to become successful at running and profiting from a website.

I?m not sure if I wrote too much or provided enough information for you guys. I don?t have a final date for when I want to achieve my goal of $1500/month passive income but I will try to think of a reasonable timeframe for my success. I will be updating at least every day at the start but like many of the journeys here there is no guarantee I will follow through. With my determination and self-discipline I know I will be successful.

    Well, here we go boys!

    Hey guys.

Here's my first update. I just spent the past few hours reading the forums and fine tuning my Fiverr gig. It's an blog content gig. The good news is that I can see my gig on the front page of Fiverr and it has received 166 views so far.

I'm really surprised by this! Unfortunately, no one has placed any orders yet and I'm trying to change that.

Right now I'm going to start doing some keyword research for an Amazon Affiliate site idea I'm going to pursue. I have some keyword ideas now in the outdoor recreation niche but will be looking for a lot more keywords to target and hopefully narrow it down to a few products.

Great news! I just checked my Fiverr and it seems I got 4 orders overnight! My gig is for article/blog writing so now I have to write 4 articles! I guess Fiverr takes 1$ as commission but $4 per article for a total of $16 is still pretty good I think. The other problem is that it takes 2 weeks for the payment process to complete but the bonus is I get paid in US dollars and that currency is much stronger than mine at the moment. I could probably write 4 articles in 3 hours but I'm not going to set a time limit. If I write too fast it will be poorer quality so I'm not going to rush through the research and writing process. I'm definitely going to get started on those articles as soon as I finish this update.

I've done a lot of keyword research for my potential Amazon Affiliate website and I will be buying the domain tonight. I'm not really sure how many keywords I should be targeting at the moment but I have a pretty wide variety of long tail keywords. I've decided to use Bluehost for hosting and bought a plan from them. It came with a free domain, 36 months hosting, and a bunch of other options that I'll look into later. I haven't picked a specific domain yet but I'll be doing that tonight. Also, I was reading some Pinterest threads last night and was checking out the site itself. My girlfriend asked me what I was doing and told me she had an account on there. She's got over 2k followers on mostly fashion/travel boards so I will be reading more Pinterest threads and figuring out how to monetize it. I'm not the best journey writer but I will be updating again later tonight. I'm off to do some research and write some articles for now.

What did the $160 go to? I saw you purchased hosting, but other than that nothing. Hope your keyword research was good, I feel like that's the biggest hurdle in setting up a successful Amazon site. Good luck! I'll be following your progress.

The hosting was $160. It was for 36 months (3 years) and I paid extra for WHOIS privacy. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not but after reading reviews I decided Bluehost was the best choice for me.

Wishing you good luck here. The first thing you'd like to do is set up a certain goal whether it's money or any other milestone. This should help you stay more focused and motivated along the way. I've sent you a message as well, if you need any help hit me up.

    Day 2 - Update

    Hi Everyone.

    Thank you for the support.

I finished my 4 Fiverr orders and I received another 2 orders since then. One person already marked their gig completed and it says I've earned $4 on Fiverr! This is a good sign so far but I still have to wait 2 weeks until I get that money. I created another gig already unrelated to my writing one so I hope that starts to get some exposure as well. You can create up to 20 gigs on Fiverr and I noticed most people don't have anywhere near that many. I'm also going to borrow my girlfriends DSLR camera to make some HD videos for my gigs.

I'm still researching keywords for my Amazon Affiliate website. I'll be online for another few hours doing some research and I still plan to pick a domain tonight, or if not then tomorrow morning. I really just need to settle down and choose one rather than spending all this time doing research but I would like to be as close to 100% sure about the keyword. I don't mind doing the keyword research and I've got tons of ideas for other Amazon Affiliate websites but I'm still trying to pick my first one. I don't know if I should be picking a broader keyword so I can target more specific keywords in my niche, or if I should start off specific and focus on selling one or two things. I briefly looked into some Pinterest monetization methods but I haven't really buckled down and focused on anything yet. I'm off to do some more research for my Amazon Affiliate niche now. If I pick a domain tonight I will post an update but if not I'll check in tomorrow morning to create a plan and keep myself in check.

    Day 3

    Good morning everyone!

It?s hard to believe, and I?m still not sure if I?m dreaming, but I woke up this morning and my Fiverr gig has 12 orders! 12! That?s a potential income of $64 US just from today. Wow, I did not think I would be able to earn anything like this right away. Again, the only problem is that it takes 2 weeks to get paid. All 4 of my first orders have been marked completed and given positive ratings and Fiverr states I?ve earned $16 this month. Today I will continue to work on articles and keep looking for gig ideas to pursue.

    Fiverrstats2.png

For my Amazon Affiliate website I have purchased 2 domains and will pursue them both and decide which will provide better returns. One domain is ?ProductNameReview? dot com and the other is the exact keyword I am targeting. My niche is in the outdoor sports/outdoor recreation department on Amazon. Most of the products I?ll be promoting usually sell for over $100 but there are tons of accessories that people look for. Today I?ll try to write 5-10 content articles. This would include 3 reviews, 3 articles, and 3 lists or something along those lines. I?m going to be researching a bunch of similar websites and see what sort of content they?re using. The good thing for my niche is that the top pages in many of the keywords I?m searching for will be easy to outrank. There are wikianswers, forum posts, and direct Amazon links at the top of the search for the keyword(s) I?m targeting. There is one other site selling a similar product but the site is outdated and I should have no problem outranking them also.

Now that I have a domain and niche picked out it?s time for me just to create content and start trying to rank the site. I have no idea if I should put the affiliate links in at first, or try to rank and wait. Actually, I have a page full of questions I?ll be searching for the answers to today. It?s pretty early so I think I?m going to work online for the next 8-10 hours and post an update to see what I?ve accomplished. I?m going to keep looking into my girlfriends Pinterest board and I might create a domain around it (for Adsense $) but that?s not my main priority.

    Total Spent: $160
Total Earned: $16 (except Fiverr hasn?t paid me yet and won?t for 2 weeks)

In my previous post I meant to write $48 instead of $64 but I'm unable to edit it.

    Day 3 - Update

    Hey everyone!

The Fiverr gigs keep rolling in. I have over 25 gig orders currently and I spent all day filling orders and writing articles. I've made more earnings in the past 24 hours just on Fiverr than I thought I could make in 1 month. So far today I've earned $32 since I started the gig 2 days ago. I'm pleasantly surprised. I put up more gigs today and so far I have 3 gigs up. My 2 other gigs have got some views and haven't received any orders yet but they have only been up a few hours so far. I'm very surprised at how many orders I've gotten and how easy it was, I must have been lucky.

Since I spent the entire day writing articles for Fiverr I didn't have much time to work on my Amazon Affiliate site. I installed Wordpress on the one domain I am going to pursue first, I wrote 3 articles related to the niche, and I made outlines for a few more articles and reviews. I did a few hours of research on how to create backlinks and rank my page on Google but that's all new to me and tomorrow I will be doing even more research. I think I'm going to wait until I have a few pages of content on the website before I start posting affiliate links. I don't really know how much content I need, how many pages there should be, whether or not I should be adding content often, and I have a variety of other things to look up.

I haven't done anything with my girlfriends Pinterest yet. I guess the best bet is to setup a website for it and throw Adsense on it. I wonder if I can promote affiliate products using Pinterest but I'm sure that's against their TOS somewhere. That's something to look up for another day.

I'm going to write some more Fiverr articles write now and maybe write some content for my Amazon site. I'll be up early again tomorrow and putting in 12-16 hours online.

    Day 4

    Hey Everyone.

This is a late post for me. When I woke up I had even more gigs on Fiverr and I've been so overwhelmed with the orders I've had to put the gig on hold tonight. I worked on articles all day but every half hour or so someone else ordered another gig. I'm incredibly surprised by how well this has worked out.

I'm going to write some articles for my niche site right now and go to bed. Tomorrow I'll be working on some more Fiverr gigs and adding content to my Amazon Affiliate site. I'll provide a more detailed post as well as a huge list of questions I have.

    Total Spent: $160
Total Earned: Fiverr says I've earned $68 so far.

Vlado, you can hire some freelancer (oDesk or something) to write articles for you for about $2/article. Your profit will be lower, but then again you will have free time. Or you can use him just for the overwhelming job that you can not finish in time.

Yep, I'm having some good luck with Fiverr. I've already completed a few gigs this morning before I came on BHW. I'm going to look into that oDesk freelancer thing. That's a really small margin though if I have to pay $2 per article and depending on the article quality and how much time I would have to spend finding and communicating with a freelancer it doesn't seem like an option worth pursuing. Although, I've noticed there are other people here on this forum that have been really successful outsourcing articles on Fiverr so I will look into that once my other IM options have started earning.

I'm not a native English speaker but I started learning English when I was 3 years old. I did all my schooling in English and just recently moved back to Eastern Europe because it's too expensive to live anywhere else. In Sofia, Bulgaria I live on ~$400 US/month. That's rent, Internet, food, etc. A similar lifestyle in Western Europe or North America would cost ~$1500.

I woke up early today and spent a few hours lying in bed reading another marketing forum. I found tons of sites detailing the many aspects of affiliate marketing and took 5 pages of notes. Starting today I will be making one post minimum on my affiliate site. I have some articles already but I'm afraid to post because the layout is still pretty terrible but I guess that can all be changed quickly. I think for affiliates starting out it's not super important to focus on backlinks and since I don't know much about them yet I'm going to keep those options on the shelf for now.

    Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been able to post an update. Due to the tensions between Ukraine and Russia I decided to move so I wasn't living as close to the Black Sea. Now that everything is settled for me I can finally write an update. I was still working on my IM pursuits in the past few days but I didn't have any Internet in my apartment. Everything is ready to go now and I have free time to post.

Fiverr seems to have really taken off for me. Since I started a week ago I have completed over 60 gigs and Fiverr says I've earned almost $250. Some of the articles I'm able to write in 10 minutes depending on the topic and I don't have any bad reviews. I'm not on the first page anymore but I have some repeat clients and I still am getting orders every day. Due to the amount of content and articles I've written I feel as though I could be putting the effort towards something that would earn more money. $4 per article seems like a scam, especially that Fiverr takes $1. I will keep working on Fiverr gigs though because it seems to be a consistent income. The biggest problem is that I still haven't received the funds. 2 weeks to clear the money again seems like a Mickey Mouse way to run a business but money is money so I will keep it up. I'm looking for other ways to increase the amount I earn per article but nothing has panned out. I've applied for a few websites where I can submit articles to be purchased but I'm still waiting for approvals. Fiverr is a good method if you have a skill where you can complete a gig in less than ~30 minutes but it still requires you sit in one place and trade your time for money. I'm on the path to find ways to avoid this.

My Amazon Affiliate website is also making good progress. I've written 10 articles for it and have posted 1 every day since the domain went live. I've gotten 0-2 unique views every day from Google and the page was indexed shortly after I posted the first articled. It's still not indexed on Bing or Yahoo though so I will try to figure out how to make that happen. I haven't paid for or made any backlinks yet besides using a G+ account. I've chosen the products I plan to sell in the future but until the website receives steady traffic I won't be posting any affiliate links.

I'm not really sure what else to say. Everything is working better than I expected especially with Fiverr. Once the Fiverr payments start coming in in a few days I will be earning $4-$40 each day just from Fiverr. It's going to take a while I think for the Affiliate site to gain traffic and for me to start earning from it but it's very reassuring that it's only been live for a few days and already receiving views.
