I was testing few firefox addons for the purpose of filling forms like: inform enter, fireform, autofill, but cannot find the most important functionality for me - I mean grouping profies. Grouping would help to select few profiles when a new field is detected on a page. Otherwise I would have to add it in every single profile separetely.

not sure what are you trying to achieve exactly, but besides those addons w/ limited functionality, have you tried to record a macro w/ iMacros?

I understand they are not customizable, but I cannot understand why any of those I tried do not have that simple thing. Yes - I tried imacros - but it's not designed for form filling - you cannot add with right click a new field (have to search in the macro code), and also it's hard to add those new field to a group of macros.

disagree :), there's even a page dedicated to form filling in its wiki:
    Code:
    http://wiki.imacros.net/Form_Filling
w/ iMacros just about anything can be automated which can be done in a browser, you just need to know how to use it properly
if you have trouble w/ right clicking, you may want to look into this:
    Code:
    http://wiki.imacros.net/DirectScreen_Technology

Yes - but the direct screen technology refers to some complex pages I guess. I would only like to fill simple forms with ability of grouping profies. Let's say I record such a macro, somehow I will be able to add new field, but how can I add those new fields to a group of 20 macros (every macro for the same purpose, but with different data)?

Maybe there's some other less popular form filler on the market?

Roboform is getting worse, especially when filling in flash-based forms (I think).

Last pass is very far from being a form filler - it does not allow to add new field to multiple profiles, but also adding a single field is a real pain - you have to go to a certain bookmark of a profile and copy and paste it - last pass is meant for remembering passwords not form filling.

Maybe for 5 profiles it's enough - but cannot imagine working when having like 50 profiles to be updated.

Just tried roboform - they even have paid options and were claiming that it has such functionality, but after testing I can confirm it does not :/

You can add any field when you want, where you want, check again
when you are on a profil check in "additionnal infos" or something similar, you can create here any field and give it any value

I know I can do it - but see how long it takes:

    1. Check in the page code field name.
    2. There is no right click - add custom field to the identity
    3. So you have to go to the addon, go to the tab you mentioned and copy and paste all data here

Above all that - I could even bother doing it - but if I want to add this custom field to all my profiles - I have to repeat it as many times as many identities I have - instead of adding it from one place.

If none of the free option is working for you then you can take a look at NingNing's Autofill Magic. It does allow you to create your own fields easily. As far as grouping of profiles are concern then you can add spun text to fill unique form everytime.

well, if you're still trying to figure this out, i'd say that your best bet would be to pay for a coder who can make a custom script/tool tailored to your personal needs, because maybe it's a too complex job for these tools

or if you're willing to put some manual work into this, i'd still recommend you to try recording a macro w/ iMacros, you can put a PAUSE command into the macro anywhere and perform those actions manually, which you think iMacros is unable to do and then continue the macro from there, you can save all your data into a .csv beforehand, specify this .csv as data source referring to the appropriate columns in the appropriate places of the macro and play the macro in loop
you can log into your different profiles, you can update the info of your profiles using the appropriate columns of the .csv, so you don't have to manually copy-paste anything, you can even clear the cookies using the CLEAR command or you can use proxies (not sure if that is needed or not)
how to do this exactly? all the info available in the iMacros wiki through examples or even demo macros

it would be a half solution for free :)

OK I see - imacros can be after all a good solution. I just made a simple macro for form filing different fields on multiple pages instead of new for every page. The issue is to make non existing fields optional so the macro won't stop working - now I got such error: RuntimeError: element INPUT specified by NAME:fname was not found, line 16 (Error code: -921). I mean such input field:

    Code:
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=ID:demo ATTR=NAME:lname CONTENT={{!COL2}}
an optional - so the macro will not stop.

Ok I solved that issue above. Still I wanted to ask you how to make a macro to be as much universal as posisible for form filling. I mean to form build in every possible web technique. As I tested I found out that I cannot set * in every place. The most universal way I guess woule be (for filing e-mail field):

    Code:
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=* FORM=* ATTR=ID:*mail* CONTENT=address@gmail.com
I am not sure if I can use TYPE=* in place of TYPE=INPUT:TEXT and TYPE=SELECT. I'm just not sure if * works as typical .* used in regex - in imacros it seems to work randomly.

Yes exactly, RF doesn't work on flash forms. Even everytime I've to login my e-junkie account I've to copy paste manually my login details from it.
