    I have built my site around a two word phrase.

    Google says it's 150,000 (broad)
    MS says it's 5,425 (broad)

    Which one would I trust?

    Thats a huge difference, you need to do some additional researches:

    Check for top 10 results at google to get the url of the 1. position, use alexa, quantcast to determine the % traffic for this keyword. As i know the first spot getting about 30-45% traffic from all searches.

    27:1 (broad) up to 30:1 (exact)

    You mention global now? Could that be the reason? do you have a geographic target set in MS?

    If MS is set on global too... man I've never seen such a huge discrepancy

    Just tried MS again > New project > All countries etc etc

    Search = 595 SEOT = 249

    Tried google again:

    same results..

    Not sure what to do if my site is now in a very competitive market (google) Or not enough (MS) hmmm

    wait wait wait...

    Are you changing the MS number before posting? it's such habit now, i forgot to mention it.

    MS reports visits/day. Google reports visits/month

    So, 595 x 30 (days) = 17850/month
    Google = 18100/month

    NOW they're not that far off!
