Not a bad title huh? I've been at 99 posts and holding for about a day. I take my next (counted) post seriously. I don't want it to not matter. The idea that I've been toying with is starting an "ask your stupid question here" thread. My reasoning behind this is that I'm pretty sure there's a lot of members, just like me, that have questions that they're afraid to ask. They don't want to look stupid. I think it would be a great benefit to a lot of members if they had a thread to ask some "stupid" q's without getting flamed. If we had knowledgeable members willing to show some patience (like we always do) it might be a great learning tool? I would obviously step up to the plate and ask the very first dumb question.

One more thing. I understand and know how to use the "search" button. The problem is that, even after I use it, I still have a lot of questions. I know others feel the same way.

Any suggestions/feedback? Stupid idea? Let me here it.

    Thanks,
    gun-shy

I think it would be a good idea, especially for those 1 line questions/answers that don't need a full thread.

On the first post of the thread it could have a collection of the questions, and when a member clicks it, it leads to the question post, by using the permalink

Eg: Which is the second post on this thread?

What's an example of a stupid question? ...besides the one I just asked. :)

I see your point and raise you 1.

If the question is asked and answered but you are asking for clarity on a subject I think it would be just fine to post a follow up question in an existing thread.

As far as "stupid" questions...they're all over the board already. I think being a noob and getting flamed is part of the learning process.

We're here to learn, teach, and entertain ourselves.

@nonchessguy: I hear you and I expected that question. The forum is filled with stupid q's...I agree. What I'm looking for is maybe a little more "concrete" answers, or even examples, on "GOOD" questions. For example, I personally have no idea on what a "double meta refresh" is, or what it looks like, and I've tried to find out. I always come up with more questions than answers.

I realize that this whole idea might suck but it could also be valuable if done in the right way. Im at the point where I'm making SOME money (AC,ebay, cl, CB) but I want to turn it up a notch. To do so means I really have to start educating myself more.

    thanks for responding.

I think maybe instead of a "stupid question" thread there should be a definitions page. But then again, that stuff is fairly easy to find if you search enough.

Dunno. Intriguing idea a SQ thread.
