    Just use internet.bs... unfortunately, there's no such thing as a 100% "bulletproof" domain.

    What makes internetbs a "bulletproof" registar? Do you know where they are located?

    They aren't bulletproof, no-one is 100%, but they're pretty good at not responding to DMCA complaints etc.

    .bs = Bahamas :)

    Right thanks. Are you currently registered with them and may I ask what nature is your website? Thing is I just spoke to them and they said it's fine until they get a complaint, upon which they will ask you to remove the copyright material. Second strike and they say you're out. And I asked them if they give information over and they didn't reply.

    I can vouch for internetbs as they are very professional and their prices are good.

    Their site just doesn't look professional but they're the exact contrary.

    Just wanted to point out that DMCA would usually apply to the web host and not the domain registrar. To have the domain shutdown from the registar (or trasnferred for that matter), you'll need to go through something like ICANN's UDRP. It's quite different than sending a DMCA letter and would usually require a lawyer (or an army of lawyers like Facebook).

    But as meathead said above, ICANN and the US can get almost any kind of domain shutdown regardless of its extension. It's just a matter of time, effort and the right number of lawyers lol. So if your website is really worth being taken down, they will take it down.

    Just keep a low profile, always keep backups, be ready to switch between offshore providers, register your domain in many different extensions...etc.

    This can help keep you alive. :)

    The reply right after your question was pretty good :)

    Bear in mind - it's unlikely a registrar will get complaints and if they do, they certainly are going to go public saying they will ignore it. But take my word for it... they will let it ride most of the time ;)

    Thanks for taking your time to reply guys I sort of understand now. You see when researching, I have found the the number one mistake was for websites in my industry to use godaddy and other US registrars to register their domain. The most successful sites and ones that stay live the longest (without getting sued :O ) are sites registered to chineese registrars, most popular being xinnet. Hence why I thought that the registrar is the cause of these problems.

    Would you mind sharing that domain with us? Since it's suspended already... what is its content?

    The domain was being forwarded to an online dating landing page. He was sending bulk emails and apparently got enough complaints to get it taken within 2 days.

    Hes going to try reg(dot)ru now and see how long one lasts there.

    How was he able to redirect it if internet.bs suspended it?

    Anyway, let us know how that new registrar works for him. I have my domain seized after 2 simple spam complaints in GoDaddy.

    I vouch for internetbs as well. They are the only registrar I go with and are located in the bahamas as dude said above.
