This wonderful BHW member has posted my CS Guide that was for sale here at The Vault.

I will be doing a little more digging to find out exactly what your username is here, but your the code word I hid in the guide just for you was found in the copy downloaded from The Vault. No one else the guide was sent to had the same code word embedded.

You have pissed me off and you had better prepare cause I am not letting this one go.

If posting this information is out of line I apologize but this person will be sorry.

That's super smart! Have you a reference to correlate that code to the customer/thief?
Hopefully you find the person and more merchants here start doing this.

Well just so you know, no matter how mad your gonna get, you will be putting your self in a bad spot by putting here name and stuff out there. I would remove that info if I were you or expect her/him to take legal action.

Sharing privileged info as a merchant can get you sued heavily. You should know that. think about it.

    That's pretty shitty!
There is a thread on here somewhere that says this guys name was hijacked realgreeny1232.
Seems like coincident or just trying to cover some tracks with an excuse..
Very interesting. Hope you get to the bottom of it...

You've been here long enough to know better than to post someone's information publicly on this site. If you have the IP of the buyer (check email headers, etc) send it over and I'll investigate a little bit.

It depends on how the email was sent, but in many cases the IP absolutely IS sent along in the email.

actually the originating machine's IP is in the headers, it's just that some email servers cut parts of the 'Received' headers off in transit. But if you look on Yahoo, GMail, etc...you can usually find the IP of the computer that sent the email, even if they sent it by webmail, it will be inserted as the 'From' of the first 'Received' header.

Received: from [67.66.123.205] by web41013.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Sun, 25 Apr 2008 23:13:34 PDT

edit for clarification: The IP above is an example only...has nothing to do with the case at hand...

Hey my friend, it's on IJ too. I've just saw it. I've posted an req to the mods there to take the thread down, but no luck so far.

Umm no, most show your home ip in the header, check yahoo and such. Gmail refused to and there was a big fuss about that. You actually got it backwards, most do show the home IP and a some don't.

There is no email, no point in discussing email IPs

Only 20 people bought the guide from BHW, so thats 1 out of only 20 who went and shared this. Pretty lame. I sold 10 copies in the first 5 hours in the BST section, and only 10 copies in the next 2 weeks after going to CS scripts for sale section. Having it available that long it was doomed to be shared....
