If I talk to people through email and send them my aff. link through email...will the referrer be blank or will it show up....lets say gmail?

Some email clients show the referrer and some don't. Based on my tests, Gmail blanks it, while clicking on a link within a Yahoo! email gives a referrer that looks like this:
