I think the reason people use rmx is because they are blackhat and will not respond to take down notices and such.

Because of this reason, I think you can't be surprised that they have a lot of downtime.

However, that's part of the reason I broke away from them because the response times aren't good enough.

Hi David,
Could you recommend a similar host that doesn't respond to take down notices and has better uptime? There are a few people that need alternatives at this stage.

there won't be one, every time someone comes with a service with no take down notice you get a bunch of people who go to the extreme with their blackhat/spam methods.

Extrawinner had a similar BST and someone did some major spamming on it he had a lot of problems because of it. If there is such of provider then is hush hush so it wont end up like this one

I did open a ticket but no answer yet..

I just renewed my monthly VPS with RMX and found that both my sites were down. I also registered a domain name which didn't push through. The payment for both pushed through (OUCH). No response to tickets as well.

To those who are asking why people would go for RMX as opposed to hostgator, the answer is simple - they advertised here saying that they ignored DMCA complaints.

What kind of hosting were you guys buying - I *may* have a server with cPanel on it with quite a bit of space on it if its just shared / reseller hosting that I can help you out with.

Rmx told me that they colocate servers in bacloud

I emailed few month ago bacloud because i was looking for bulletproof server for my XR and they responded that they dont allow XR without proxies so i think they also dont ignore DMCA.

Same servers offered so i dont think it was collocation. I think RMX was resseling bacloud servers but bacloud shut down rmx servers and end of business.
