Short Story: It's in the title. Do not contact anyone pretending to be any BHW staff member off the forum. Staff members (i.e., paid staff members, such as myself) can only communicate with members on BHW or BHW support.

Long Story
: I woke up today and checked BHW on my phone. To my surprise, I had a very interesting conversation with a member here.

You see, a very nice member named @peppe, who's also a very smart member for contacting me, informed me that there's a Zwielicht impersonator on Telegram.

Here's the conversation they had with the impersonator.

My wife woke up, saw me looking at this, and asked me if I was worried because I was quiet. As I said to her, I'm not worried, I'm just slightly annoyed... by this low-effort attempt to impersonate me. I mean, come on, look how bad this is!

  • The avatar's borders weren't rounded for Telegram, as if I would be so sloppy.
  • They just copy and pasted the notice from my profile that clearly says I do not make my off-forum contact details available to members because I keep my identity private. Why would I copy-paste my own bio?
  • Speaking of which, why would I have a BHW Telegram called Zwielicht if I can only communicate with members directly on BHW or BHW Support?
You know what? I'm flabbergasted now! It's like they didn't even understand anything about me. Where's the flair? Where are my mannerisms? My pompous and embellished way of speaking?

Where is the presentation‽

A shell of Zwielicht; me reduced to a copy-paste response, nothing more, nothing less.

I mean, I'm flattered that they at least read my bio, but this is just... poor quality. I'm just so disappointed. If this impersonator's goal was to make me feel slightly disappointed for the next hour, then they've succeeded, oh how they've succeeded...

But I will get over it in time. After all, time heals all wounds.

So yeah, to reiterate what I said at the beginning, do not contact anyone pretending to be me or any other BHW staff member. BHW staff will only communicate with you on BHW or BHW support, not Telegram or whatever hip new instant messaging service is out in the future.

To would-be impersonators, I have this to say:

I will share one of my personal BHW rules here: Always double check through a pm here. Buyer, seller, jv, no matter: Double check.
That is precisely what @peppe did when he saw the impersonator, and I am very proud of him for doing this. Everyone should be more like @peppe.

You know what? That's it, @peppe is getting a shout-out in the newsletter. I've put in the request!

I'm still annoyed...

Everyone knows that when you message me, the first thing I tell you is a traumatic event from my life.

Member: Hi Zwielicht, I'm new here! What's the difference between 'messages' and post count?
Zwielicht: Yeah, so anyway, when I was 15, I had to call the police department because a group of teenagers had mutilated a field of prairie dogs at a children's playground. The blood was everywhere, the grass was red... innards were smeared on the slides. You can tell they did it with their bare hands, it was real sick. I think the worst part was... So then the police and fire department arrived and thanked me for calling it in. They said it was one of the worst cases of animal abuse they had ever seen. But to answer your question, 'messages' are your post count. If you have any additional questions, please submit a support ticket using support.blackhatworld.com.

I think every decent, reputable seller or admin on BHW has, or still has an impersonator in top chat medium like Telegram and Skype.
The website owner is also inclusive.

You placed a bigger effort making this post than your impersonator impersonating you. :D

Not a super villiian indeed!
Of course! It's because that is who I am, a person who puts effort into every keystroke. Maybe I'm being a bit hyperbolic, but you catch my drift.

As for the impersonator, there's just no artistry in his impersonation; a sad stain on the carpet, and nothing more.

As you said, not a super villain indeed!

He could done better
Also that's what happen when you leave your username unclaimed
someone else will take it

I will edit the skype profile to meet your needs,
Sorry, auto correction above, i meant i hope he edit it so it meets your standards :D

Really traumatic story:) The best part of it is I already forgot a question while I was reading a story :)

Sad side of this story is which you probably didnt know yet that this impersonator is scamming people in many groups, selling all kind of bots, services, offering MM services and gaining trust using your identity so yeah its not just like some stupid impersonating case ;) its all on purpose ;)
One of my friends just shown this to me recently ;)

"Yep that def wat i type lik u no?"

What, am I illiterate now? Anyone who knows me knows that I would never degrade myself by typing in this manner outside of a joke.

Disgusting the lengths that some would go to for money.

Thank you very much for sharing this screenshot, @fishbelly86onions. It's important to put this stuff out there to show others.
