Fiverr is trying to steal your money with a new feature (con jackpot).

Did any of your had experience with fiverr? especially on money dispute when you paid to the wrong seller?

I've been through such hassles on fiverr, fiverr do not want buyers to claim back their money even if the seller is not completed the job. Trust me I have a huge story that I lost plenty of money on fiverr and never got back even after producing relevant proof to the customer support.

Being said that, recently fiverr had launched a new feature called "Pro seller" feature, and I think that's a new con strategy that fiverr can earn from many innocent buyers.

I mean, just imagine one of a pro account gig costs about $10,000 dollars and fiverr takes 20% of it which means $2000 on just a single sale......... this is absolutely ridiculous and fiverr company should be shame about it.

However if you bought that gig then you are under a huge problem when you will have to lose the whole $10,000 because fiverr don't want to lose it's commission fee which is $2000 per se.

All I recommend is do not use fiverr to buy or even sell things by seeing their trick con things that they claim on their platform.

This is what I would like to say.
"Fiverr is a Scam"
"Fiverr is a Con"
"Fiverr is a Fraud"

Don't trust me? just google > fiverr scam

Yea, thanks for the heads up. We already have a lengthy thread on this subject: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/fiverr-pro-is-horse-shit.952655/

From a buyers POV Fiverr went to shit when they started to allow their sellers to charge more than just $5 for a single gig. Until that point you knew, probably you won't receive anything out of ordinary but an ok service (at best) or worst case scenario, you lost $5. Now with these prices, you can receive the same shit what you received before for $5. How awesome is that? lol

get a job

OT: I have been looking at fiverr pro for myself. As long as the quality is good. It looks like they are trying to improve their image, so I am interested in seeing what they have to offer.

Reposting what I mentioned previously on the other thread about Fiverr Pro:

Same as any other place where you can buy or sell services:
* Buy services that aren't terrible from people who are competent
* Don't buy terrible services from incompetent people

All third party transaction mediators (Fiverr, Upwork, etc) are of course just there to make commission. Don't expect them to do anything for you.

Make good hiring decisions and you won't have these problems in the first place.

If you blindly send $10k to someone that you know nothing about, it's your own fault if you lose the money.

That's easier said than done. If it would be easy, there would be no scams online and there would be no need for the Shitlist section here either. If a con is built up well, (which will be for these amounts), you need to be a seasoned veteran to spot it before becoming a victim (not talking about the obvious scams). On the other hand, always use PayPal and pay only with your attached credit card or pay directly with your credit card. In that case even if Fiverr or PayPal decides against you, you can do a chargeback via the credit card issuer. That's the best you can do.

Prevention would be the ideal of course, but that's not always working.

You would feel the pain when you lose money to a con seller.
I have bought some shitty services and been scammed on there, never have I lost the money. Fiverr has always refunded me.

I would never buy a service for a large sum that I hadn't fully and properly vetted.
Which is why I offer full vetting on my fiver pro service, I am an open book to the buyer, so they feel comfortable sending $5,000+. Haven't sold anything via pro yet, I am still compiling my exact service, but I am all for it.

A fool and his money are soon parted, and damnit I want a part of it!

As individuals, everyone reading this should be smart enough to make good hiring decisions and avoid scams. Of course it's impossible to stop scams entirely, because there will always be schmucks. But it is possible for you personally to never get scammed if you make good hiring decisions.

Even the most brain-dead schmuck should know not to send $5,000 to someone they've never worked with before. Start with smaller orders where even in the worst case scenario the loss would be minimal.

Whats some alternatives to fiverr that some of you have actually used & can recommend.

Fivesquid is pretty similar but I found it to be a lot better.

only way is they refund. to your account. which you cant cash out... so they win every time..

This is what is going on with the PRO feature....

A lot of people use Fiverr just for the purpose of hiring skilled sellers for $5,$10,$15 and resell the same work for $100+, I know people that won't use Fiverr because it is "CHEAP", so they hire designing companies for $300+ while the designing companies use Fiverr to create the work...

With the PRO feature Fiverr wants to remove the entire "CHEAP" from their brand name, I know that because I sell on Fiverr, made almost $100,000 there with over 6000+ reviews:

Now people won't have the excuse of "Fiverr is Cheap" because of the PRO feature, if I'm selling a T-shirt for $5 and the same T-shirt for $100 your brain will automatically evaluate the $100 T-shirt as "Better", this is what Fiverr is trying to do.

That whole Fiverr thing is complete bullshit, and nothing more than a joke where you can buy some jungle dancers to sing Happy Birthday. I bought once a gig, waited 3 weeks for it, and never used fiverr again.

I accept it. Fiverr has some bullshit rules for getting commission fee from each and every seller. It's good to never use Fiverr service ever.

You can try Seoclerks, Peopleperhour or Upwork, these three seem to be the most popular these days besides Fiverr.
