Television commercial spots are filled with sports betting ads, and all the big bookmakers in Europe (Bet365, Ladbrokes, Interwetten, etc) have affiliate programs. Yet when I look for forums where this is discussed, they are mainly filled with dead threads. A Bet365 affiliate sub forum that I found somewhere else had posts from 2012 on the first page.

Aren't people making serious bank from this? The ad expenditure seems to be in the billions.

It seems like the affiliate programs have confusing rules and unfriendly T&C's. As an upside, many of them pay out very quickly though.

So please help me understand. What is the problem with making money from sports betting? And where are these programs discussed?

The market for sports betting is pretty much saturated. It is advertised on tv, radio, newspapers, Internet and just about everywhere else you look.

I agree... Actually some things are changing... One of my affiliate managers was telling me about some new things going on in the industry and you're right... I need to read up.

    Thanks for the reminder.

Your post gave rise to more questions than it answered haha. Which program does your affiliate manager represent and what new things is he referring to? Just curious.

Well, the advertisements definitely work considering I am a frequent bettor on BetOnline. I would be interested in knowing if it would work with well Facebook ads or if we can even promote it on FB since it is gambling.

Just wondering, is this stuff truly global? IE can I bet on NFL at Bet365? Do all bookmakers accept players from any country?
