Better to Donate or...

I was thinking about donating to BHW but then a crazy thought popped in my head. I have a new software coming out that I know a lot of people will want and it's going to sell for about three times price as a donation. Would it be better for me to Donate or give the software for free to any Donor who wants it as an incentive for people to donate?
