Better than blanking referrer?

Instead of blanking out referrer and looking suspicious, isnt it easy to setup a semi ok looking site.. Like a site with tons of banners & freebies..

Then send users to a single HTTP refresh onwards to the advertiser.. so the advertiser will see http://www.YOURSITE.com/ as the referrer.. Looks a lot better and LESS suspicious..

Yep Yep, but the advertiser will see YOURISTE.COM and visit it and be like woah man this is bs.

Not necessarily, Mp3Mage. If you back it up with the idea that its a "landing page" for your PPC campaigns, thats a legit setup. Especially since "certain" programs require that a person physically click intentionally on a link to go to their website as opposed to a redirect.

For the OP - a landing page specifically for what you are pushing would be better than one with a bunch of freebies on it. Investing the time into setting up 1 domain + 1 landing page = 1 good reply for any referrer based questions no matter how much traffic you send. If its 1 page with bunches of offers, and you're sending a lot of traffic, your landing page will be suspicious as Mp3Mage suggests.

well if its a landing page like say..

http://www.freestuffleague.com/

and you are sending like 500 hits/day to EACH Sponsor(so no sponsor ever get more than 500 hits)

Doesnt it seem realistic that a page like that can send 500 hits?

Also fuck PPC>. i just tell them i run that website and send traffic through there. there are 100000 offers that let u promote through banner/web... so wouldnt that qualify?

Depends on the program. If the numbers dont match up they wont believe you.

well if u send only couple 100 hits to each program u r good

people do that, and they go a step further to fake it before hand through a gateway, then use a redirect if its from tht source to their target, and if not, just displays the site.

best way to do it tbf, and its like 4 lines of code
