    Mostly I'm using SB to check backlinks. The problem is even I minimize my connections amount and increase the timeout, it often runs in a timeout. This is the reason for my question: Is there any better backlink checker than SB (with the same features as the SB link checker)?

    If you are using xp/vista you need to remove half limit connection. Scrapebox will keep timing out if you try to do more then 50 multiple connection at once (this is due to microsoft inputing the limit on those os/server edition) Google around a little and you will find a patch for half limit connection

    I'm using Windows 7. I don't think it's the usual connection limit (because Emule and stuff like this works without problems), the problem is more that blog-sites which are used for comments contain often A LOT entries. If they have included Gravatar too or the server is really slow, then SB often falls into the timeout while link checking.

    I was able to minimize this behaviour with setting the timeout to 90s and using lesser connections, but this isn't nice especially if I want to use more than just a few connections at the same time. If it would be possible to increase the timeout to 500s or something like this, then more connections would work too.

    I have everything set to 90 seconds timeout, and it works great, it gets everything, and I am on a very slow internet connection :)

    I think it works great if you've got sites to checks which doesn't consume a lot bandwith and/or are slow. Mostly mine works too very nice too.. But if not, it's very time consuming to check it the right way.

    Location:
    ScrapeBox v2.0
    Home Page:
    Shut ScrapeBox down, go in to the /Configuration/ folder and open scrapebox.ini with Notepad. Scroll down to this part:

    [TimeOut]
    SlowPoster=90000
    FastPosterfast=60000
    LinkChecker=90000

    It's in milliseconds so LinkCheck=90000 is 90 seconds, change that to whatever you like such as =500000 for 500 seconds. Save the file and start ScrapeBox again.
