Ok, if I posted this in the wrong section or if this question has been answered
( and yes I did use the search function ) already my bad for it.

I am using blogspot as a landing page ( yes i know i could just buy a domain and install wordpress but I am being cheap and if you saw my down 10k thread you would understand ) for IMlive's affiliate program, and I wanted to know some ways I could hide my traffic sources. I am using the social networks and classfied sites to drive traffic to the blogspot page, where I have my aff links embedded. Now I have had decent conversions so far but I am also in the process of buying traffic to water down my numbers, so I can stay under the radar.

I'm not sure if I can put php code on blogspot, so I guess I couldn't do a DMR and I know my referrer will be blank but I told my Am that I do PPC and a little SEO.

Does anyone have any ideas, can you please help ??

( Also hope this isnt in the wrong section mods :) sorry )

I think I may be missing something. How would your AM know where your traffic was coming from if you are using a Landing Blogspot Page?

The only thing she would see is the Blogspot refer... right?

The AM would check the blogspot link and then will see that is landing page.

I was thinking about it too and I would be grateful for a answer.

Mate I guess you dont need DMR if you are using blogspot as a landing page...because if your AM decides to investigate then she will see the blogspot so what is the problem ? i guess it doesnt matter how you send traffic to your blogspot because your AM is interested in where the traffic from referral link coming from .....

DMR is only needed when you are posting your ref link somewhere you dont want your AM to know like in craigslist or social networks etc

As far as I think you are okay you dont need to do anything ...

    Regards

Some of the people are right that if your AM checks their logs they will see your blogspot page as the referer and you're in the clear. Now if they became a little more curious they could easily type your blogspot url in G or Y! or any SE and see exactly where your traffic is coming from. The easy solution is to just use a tinyUrl as the break in between. Change all your links on your source pages to tinyUrl links and then they will never know. Though if your source pages are already indexed your pretty much screwed, and have to make another page.

Well right now I haven't posted my by blogspot links to any of the social networking sites, I planned on to do that after this issue was resolved.

@FLK101 : If your talking about my AM seeing who is backlinking to me, then I see your point, but wouldnt the social networking profiles still index even with the url shorteners ??

All the AM would have to do is type in the url shortener in google and I am fucked ??

Any ideas or am I crazy , I dont think I am but would love to hear what someone has to say ??

But i guess, only if the AM gets the actual url shortener then I am good right.......

Lol I dont think your AM would be checking backlinks of each and every site they have much more fish to fry than that ... the most they probably do is to check your referral link sources and they will see the blog so you are golden
unless of course your site is getting huge traffic so probably they wanna see where you getting traffic for the site but that too for their own purpose probably so they can make use of your sources..
But if are not convinced you can wait for other answers..

    Regards

No I believe you seriously but I also plan on getting alot of traffic, so what should I do then ??

They could start snooping and check the bank links.

But I guess the plan should be to spread that traffic around rather than sending it to one site ;).

But what should I do, If I am sending large amount of traffic ?

Yes you do sound completely paranoid, but I get your concern.

But back to using the URL Shortners, if you have a mspace page or FB page and you put the tinyUrl link there is no way to back track it to your blogspot page because the TinyUrl internally reroutes it. All that is on the MS or FB page is a link to tinyUrl not a link to your site, the only why to find it would be if they clicked the link on the MS or FB page to see where it went, but they would not know those pages exist unless you tell them. So don't.

Now your next issue would be if you just have a crappy looking blogspot page you are sending 10,000 people to an affiliate link and no sites linking to it, well now you have another problem.

Well you are right, I would have a problem but I intend to :

    1) Purchase PPC traffic and have the records to cover my ass if they ever ask.

    2) I plan on purchasing content for the blogspot page to dress it up and possibly do a link campaign so that it doesnt look so suspect.
