I'm trying to figure out how to do retargeting but I see there are some straightforward retargeting apps that work with Facebook so I guess I can just try them out.

My advice would be to install the Facebook ad pixel on your site ASAP then use Facebook ads to sort your remarketing. It's surprisingly easy.
