What is the best way to verify content of an article from an outsourced writer is providing original content?

Correct...but what if the content is on my website yet. Is there a place I can go copy & past the article so it checks the web to make sure it doesn't have duplicate content?

I post content to my website, then check it with copyscape. If it comes up duplicate, you can pull it right down (before google or anyone else sees it).

If you really don't want the content touching your site until it's proven unique, then make a blogspot just for the purpose of posting it and running the copyscape check.
