Hey guys, I just landed on a potential gold mine. I got my old laptop working again and have about (100) thousand word articles (or more, that's all I counted so far but there could be double or triple that). I wrote these back about 6 or 7 years ago when I was big into bodybuilding. So they're about diet, exercise for getting big and losing fat. They've never been online so they're all fresh and unique. Mostly in Q and A format as I used to answer a ton in that format as it helped me to wrote more.

Any suggestions on what to do with these? They're not really formatted to make products, but I was thinking of making blog networks or web 2.0's for links back and to build my email list.

If you have that amount of article then buy and domain and hosting. And then make a website. Do SEO and Social Media Marketing. You will start getting traffic. Use adsense in your blog. So you can start earning money.
    Thanks mate

I'm definetely not going to sell tham as they are. I want to leverage them as best I can to use them in SEO/traffic efforts back to my main website. If you wanted to use them to get traffic/rankings what would you do?

    My thought was:
30 or so web 2.0's and add 4 articles each that link to money site.
Blast some kind of links to the web 2.0's to gain authority.
sell my own products and build list to email daily and sell affiliate products.

    Anyone have a better idea?

This isn't a bad idea at all.
Just make sure you work on your main website.
Don't forget to do keyword research.

Dude nice, this is an awesome opportunity. I would do keyword research through Keyword planner and find topics that you wrote about that also have a decent search volume. You can then find a way to monetize the articles, such as affiliate sales for a body building product. Focus on ranking those pages which have a high search volume, but you might as well post all of your articles so your site gains authority.

Do you have a site in the niche at the moment?

If you do, why not just build it out even more? If they are high quality, using them for web2.0s seems like a waste.

Wow what a great find! I shudder to think what the articles I wrote years ago are like.

Have these never ever been published anywhere online?

If it were me, as the articles are high quality, I'd use them all on a money site. You can buy articles to build links with for peanuts. At the very least I'd use the vast majority of it on a money site. 100,000 words will get you a long way!

Use 50, create 5 sub niche sites, 10000 words each (Dieting on a budget, work out routine, blah blah blah). Then make a one way link to your main branded website and then put the other 50 articles there.

That is an idea I'd thought about as well.

My main objective is to boost the serps, traffic and DA/PA of my main website. The main website is in the mens fitness niche but more mainstream and not specific to bodybuilding. So, there is some overlap with the articles I've got.

I had thought about either 20-30 web 2.0's with about 2-3000 words each and pointing them at the main site. I'm not a fan of adsense, but I'd put affiliate offers. I'd then purchase a combination of social media boosts and backlinks to these web 2.0's to get them ranking high, and that would shuttle link juice to the main site.

Would it be more effective to make 5- 10 web 2.0's/ blogs with 10,000 words? Or 20- 30 web 2.0's/ blogs with less content? (The end result I want is to boost the main site).

Also- does it matter if I use stuff like hubpages, blogger, etc as the web 2.0's or should I make them all wordpress sites and host them myself? (What would have bigger link juice?).

I do have a site in a peripheral niche- some overlapping content. However, the old articles are more specific to bodybuilding and are written in a very different tone/ branding. So, they wouldn't really fit the vibe of the main website. That's why I'm thinking of using them on other sites to funnel traffic to the main and for backlinks to boost authority/serps. The content and keywords have a lot in common but tone is very different.

Ha! Yeah, they're great info but not nearly as fun to read as the stuff I write now. They've never been published anywhere except my laptop, so I figure it's a great opportunity to leverage them into traffic and a serp boost for my main website.
