I have a domain that I only use to redirect affiliate links. So if I post an article on Medium for example I don't link straight to the affiliate program but to this domain and it redirects to the affiliate program.

the medium article has this link: redirectdomain.com/affiliate-program and it redirects to the affiliate program

I don't have anything installed on the domain, I've only set up htaccess for the redirects.

What's the best way to track clicks on the links? I could install WP and use something like pretty links but I don't really want to install WP on that domain.

Any input is appreciated :)

Use a link shortening service that allows custom domains which can do server-side redirection and tracking.

There are several projects you can self host.

Thank you, everyone, for your answers! Didn't expect so many answers in so little time, this is really appreciated!

I went with @Ashk881 suggestion. I found short.io which does exactly what I was looking for and it's free.
