    Hi all,

Lately I have been creating articles on high PR directories and creating Web 2.0s to use for Tier 1. I have been experimenting with a few different methods to gain PR on these Tier 1's including some AA comments, Xrumer profiles, high PR blog comments (OBL < 50), but still can't seem to gain any PR to my Tier 1's (they always remain PR0). Keep in mind, these are articles and Web 2.0's that have been created numerous months ago. Few questions:

1 - Are there better ways to power up my Tier 1 properties?
2 - Should I be looking into different Tier 1's?
3 - I used to use Squidoo quite a bit until they went no-follow and locked lenses. I found I could gain PR to Squidoo lenses quite easily. Are there other similar platforms that help with that?

    Thanks!

the best way above everything i found was high pr blog comments - but they are manual
or low pr blog coments - just more of them as long as they are do follow
anything else and you usually need a lot of them, but it helps if the site is bigger (your site)

Remember that PR has nothing to do with rankings. If you want PR and then sell links, it's not the best way to make monies ... :(

The guy in answer above me said it all. Do not care about PR of your tier1 links. It's not important at all... Just focus on a quality of this tier1 layer, PR is not important at all in this case.

I'm not looking to build PR to sell links. I am looking for PR so that I can link to my money sites. I always thought a PR2 links would be much better than a PR0 link. As mentioned I have some Web 2.0's that have built approximately 40-50 high PR blog comments (********, PR1+) , but they are still PR0. Are you saying they are still providing good link juice despite being PR0?

    Thanks,
    Adam

I'll tell you this --> Treat every web 2.0 as it is your money site. The higher the quality of web 2.0s, the higher is the quality of backlinks to your actual money site, thus making your money site rank better (as ranking improves when quality sites link to yours).

You can start off slowly, yes.. it could take a while. But the results will be phenomenal".

Getting PR on major web 2.0 is not an easy task. Most of the best web 2.0 are on subdomain which makes it more difficult and the only reason squidoo get PR quickly is the page where your link/article is placed is closer to the homepage.

Its not far from the main site like the example -> site.com/category/page/morepage/moreandmorepage/yourarticle or subdomain

Assuming you have only 1 post on a web 2.0 its chance to get good PR is very bleak. Sometime you get high PR without a single backlink and it happens only because of good content. Firing a lot of backlinks to a web 2.0 does increase your money site's ranking as your web2 get a lot of internal PR which is not known externally.

I don't know why you say that. But having a link from a high PR source is better than no PR source.

    Coming back to you OP.

Try to find sites which allows you to post content and are closer to homepage. There are many platforms which you can find to post your content and are closer to homepage. Also make sure those are not spammed to death or article directories. Links you get from these sites are very similar to blog posts you buy from BST's and you will have an amazing IP diversity with no footprints :)

I have read in other articles that PR does matter the more competitive the KW.

A good method that seems to give sites High PR is getting links From not just High PR sites but high PR pages. This is a hard thing to do. So you'll most likely have to buy domains that already have PR or buy Links from someone who owns them. Buying domains with High PR is not an easy task. In fact I'd say it's one of the more complicated methods. Definitely time consuming, but worth it in the end.

In my opinion it's faster and easier in the long run to do this. Although expect to get burned a few times before you get the hang of it.

This is an interesting thing to test... I actually still make Squidoo's and rank them.

First - there is a service based on this method somewhat... Marko and Tommy offer the White Vs. Black service. I just ordered one to see what would happen.

Second - if you make some web 2.0's and then run software on the 2nd tier... what happens - sounds like you know.

Third - make some web 2.0's and then run a high PR service on just those - I have my own at my sites - but Sape's or index bear...

Page Authority would be what I believe is more important that Page Rank... Just My opinion based on what I have done. A great measurement most often is Page rank. Remember that Authority is different and in the end going to matter more.

Also remember that the toolbar pr you are checking is updated infrequently by google so what you see could be months out of date. Use page authority for a more realtime gauge.

sorry if I sound like a complete newb. when making a 2.0 I get the choice to make my domain i.e. XYZ.blogger.com For the purposes of SEO/ranking with the method above - do I need to have my KW in the domain i.e. blackhat.blogger.com or would a domain such as johnsmith.blogger.com work as well.
Then (basic) article, 2 KWrds linking to 2 URLS in the domain (cash site) (vary KW) etc....
I guess in a nutshell the question is, is there benefit to having the keyword in the domain of the blog.

Backlink the Web 2.0's like you would your money site. That way you can easily discard them if necessary.
