Trying to boost up my rankings in GMB by powering up my local directories with tier 2 web2.0 has anyone done this with good success?
I'm little unsure about how many external links I should be creating on the page bearing in my its a tier 2.

How aggressive can it be?

My plan is to create 2-3 contextual links on each page to 2-3 different directories. Just wanted too see if this is a decent strategy or should use the web 2.0 properties a different way all together?

Thanks

Understand how people are looking for something.

Inject right keyword in name, description, posts, product.

Ask friends to give five star to your gmb listing.

Thanks, I've got a handle on that but I need to building more brand entities/mentions ie directories, web20 etc. So I'm creating a bigger profile for the brand. This all helps towards my GMB rankings but I can do more with these new properties than just add a NAP and use their power for a boost. Just need to know how to go about building them out to get the most bang.

Consistently putting out press releases is great.

Alot of Directory links, Get more reviews from customers, add more pictures of the business, and make sure the NAP is good when doing directory links.

Speak directly to your customers through Google My Business Messages and Add posts to share business updates.

You must answer every review, and try not to cut and paste same answer, make it more natural and genuine.

How youtube videos can help rank gmb? Can you elaborate abit?

I don't want to give away all my secrets, but...

So I think YouTube is a really underrated resource for local SEO

1. It's the second largest search engine in the world
2. It's owned by Google, so of course it's going to have a lot of power

Basically, here's how I use them.

The links themselves don't offer a lot of power, being redirects.

The videos do, though, rank on search engines.

So if you've done everything correctly, you should be able to rank your videos, getting your (or your client's) brand name in front of more searches. This sub consciously makes them more familiar with your brand.

People also love videos, so they're likely to click on your vid. In the description, put a link to your GMB or GMB site. User clicks on there, interacts with it, your rankings start to go up.

Also, since CTR is a ranking factor, the more familiar they are with your brand, the more likely they're going to be to click on it when they see it. So they see a big video in the serps with your brand name, they're more likely to click on your mappack listing.

You can also put links to your citations in there to help the citations index. Or put links to the GMB posts to get some engagement on those as well.

Powering your Citations with Web 2.0 will make sure your citations are noticed and indexed by G. Always good to power up your citation and other Tier 1 property.

Manage and respond to reviews, use posts to promote events, offers, and content and add posts with high quality images.

Respond to every reviews and add relevant keywords and content in the GMB

I usually insert the gmb links to my web 2 post to power it up ,I build around 20 to 30 of these and buy a press release. If you want to take it a step further buy a few guests posts or niche edits and add the link in there as well
